Re: GLX 893 Vs. 894?
I only have the 894 in the NRX but from multiple conversations feel the new model GLX is similar enough to comment. Also own a bunch of GLX rods and a NRX803. For 12# line you want the 893. period. If you told me you wanted to fish light lures on 17# FC with vegetation and big fish around I would g...

That was good.IlliniDawg01 wrote:I know a few guys that had trouble keeping their Paychecks away from their Barely Legal Vixens... Luckily they got it under control before the Late Payments led to the Repo Man taking their stuff.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Shimano core 100 for me. I'm really looking forward to the new Aldebaran though.

Why doesn't Aaron Martens use Daiwa/Megabass reels?
If Aaron Martens isn't sponsored by a reel company and is sponsored by Megabass, why doesn't he use Megabass/Daiwa reels?

Re: New Aldebaran and Metanium DC small pics and specs
Anyone know if either of these reels will be available at tackle warehouse? Will there be us models (core and Metanium)?

Dobyns Champion vs G Loomis Mossyback?
My friend wants to buy a good jig rod in the $200-$250 range and these are the two top candidates. Which rod do you prefer? Which one is more sensitive? It will be for 3/8 and 1/2 ounce football jigs. I was thinking 734c if he goes the Dobyns route. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Most Sensitive Megabass Rod?
I own many rods from the original destroyer line up to the X7 series. In my opinion the most sensitive rod for jigs and T-rigs from 1/4 to 3/4 is the Evoluzion line. http://pic20.picturetrail.com:80/VOL1872/7933416/24327362/409422865.jpg In particular the 6'8 diablo and the 7' jig and Texas rod. Re: Shimano Core 100?
Is it gone forever? I loved this reel, why did Shimano discontinue it? If you like the profile, look at the Excense DC. Same form but made out of aluminum and has DC. Only downside is it is only available in a high speed ratio. This reel has piqued my interest and is on the shortlist for this...
