Re: Travel Rod Suggestions
I ended up just going with the ETR84-3 LS 6. Was able to get one shipped for $240 so I figured what the heck I'll try it. I definately though about going 2pc TSR and just making a tube for it but I really wanted something in the 6'8-7'0 range. Broken down to 2pc thats just a big ass tube 40"+ for ba...

Re: NRX review soon ?
I am hoping for a review of the Loomis TSR (Trout Series Rods) also. I posted a thread about it, but I don't know if the powers that be saw it. LOL After all the glowing comments made about TSRs' on the forums who needs a review lol. I could understand holding off if they were priced like an nrx bu...

Re: NRX review soon ?
so you are saying the NRX is worth the extra cost? I just wish there was a reel with a color pattern that really looked sweet with it. Every (ok most) cool reel out there seems to have red accents. Loomis should have done a small red accent stripe in the middle of the blue wraps that would have bee...

Spare Spool for Stella 1000FE
Where can I pick one of these up? Is my only option ebay?
Heck while I'm at it I'd also like to find a spare spool for the Daiwa Certate 2500 I picked up from BPS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: NRX Guide Wraps
Same. I went back and took a really close look at my 822s dsr. The wrappings are immaculate. Course if mine had looked like the ones in the photo I would've sent it back.

Re: Travel Rod Suggestions
I've looked at the St Croix offerings but very briefly since they're only available in the Triumph and Avid series. I've owned both and while decent rods in their respective price points, I'm after something of a little higher quality.

Travel Rod Suggestions
I'm looking for a light trout rod in a travel series for backpacking. So far I've haven't been finding too many options. I'm leaning towards the Gloomis ETR84-3 LS 6 it's 7" 1/16-5/16 in a light action. It has the perfect specs but I'm wondering about the quality of the rod for the price. Has any on...

Re: G. Loomis 2011
I talked with Steve Rajeff at the Portland Sportsmans Expo about a month back really nice guy and it was fun to pick his brain. He was saying to expect a revamp across the board in there in low to middle end market this year. Basically a revamp of their GL2 material as they feel it's a good market a...

Re: ICast 2011 rumors
I talked briefly with a Daiwa rep at the Pacific Northwest Sportsman's Expo. All I could get out of him was "Expect some nice new toys in the high end US market. And when I say high end I'm talking the $600-900 range." He wouldn't be any more specific than that. G. Loomis had a few engineers there s...

Re: Dream UL combo
I'm almost there right now I have a stella 1000fe on a TSR 791 and 792 I love them to death. I've been dying to get my hands on Nories Stream 510 or 63 though. I just wish the Stella look fit that rod better as I prefer my it over the Hyper Exist Native Custom. What I'd really like to see though is ...
