Re: MB IS reels, how many produced?

Unless I stole your 73 somehow I'm thinking that's probably a model or batch number and not a individual serial number

Re: Any upgrades for a PX68 SPR?

Between HH Air and HH Air BFS, which is a better option for the reel? I may also grab so Deep Purple screws from HH for a little bit more purple accent. Can't wait to use this thing! I have not tried both bearings in the SPR but I do have HH Airs in most of my other reels. I've found that going by ...

Re: Auction site gems

I just picked up that IS73 Viola from highspeed. Seems to be a pretty awesome reel Price got too rich for my blood but I've always wanted one of those to pair with a Dobyns Champion Extreme I can't think of a much better modern rod/reel color match. Yea, I was at my limit but I'm glad I got it. I'm...

I've found the Daiwa and Shimano 2000 sizes to be a great fit for L/ML/M rods where a 2500 just feels a bit large. I run a 2000 sized Shimano 09 Magnesium Complex on my NRX ...

Re: Any upgrades for a PX68 SPR?

On mine I upgraded to the Hedgehog Air BFS bearings, beefed up the drag, and swapped all the screws to gunmetal Hedgehog Hex ones (I do hex screws on every reel I own). I love that reel it casts like a dream and it's one of the smoothest I own. Personally I like the stock handle over CF but that's j...

Re: Auction site gems

Not every Auction site gem story turns out with a happy ending. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131604938250?_trksid=p2057872.m2748.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I bought this reel. Before the excitement wore off I got a cancelled sale notification. They said they already sold it in their shop. I hop...
