Evergreen Esdrive swim bait question...
I was looking on the net at some swimbaits and came across the Evergreen Esdrive and it caught my eye. Does this bait have the synthetic rubber-like tail and fin as most swim baits do or is it made of plastic or even perhaps metal. I cannot make an accurate assumption from the photos I have seen so ...

Is the Daiwa Big Bait Special made of Al or Mg???
I saw on e-Bay that this reel is made for heavy fresh and medium saltwater applications. But I thought all the TD-Z reels were made of magnesium and Daiwa did not make a protected version like Shimano for the salt. Does anyone own one to comment on this? Thanks.

Any previews from Shimano or Daiwa for upcoming Japan shows?
Does anyone have a clue as to what these two companies will be releasing. Will there be an update to the Scorpion with an updated Curado? Will Shimano introduce any other high end models and what about Daiwa. Will they introduce a new high end model to replace the TD-Z. What do you guys think and wh...

Question for TackleTour editors or anyone else that can help
Does the box to either your Shimano Calais 100 or Antares AR have a millimeter or inch diameter designation when they make their claims for line capacity. I posted a question like this a few weeks ago on another site but was just wondering true calculations. For instance, does the reel say 90 yards ...

What pound test line on Calais 100A/Antares AR...
What pound test line do you use on your Calais 100A and/or Antares AR? I am afraid that if I buy a 100A or AR, I will only get a really small amount of 15 lb. P-Line on it and when I cast, be down to nothing. I also hope that it will hold enough 12 lb. test if I choose to use Vanish Transition on it...

Japan International Sportfishing Show 2006???
I am literally ready to crawl out of my skin the Northeast here (Northeast PA to be exact) now that fishing season with the boats is officially over and we have 10 inches of snow on the groung. I have to wait a few months for "safe" ice to form before fishing can resume. So in the mean time, I am cu...

Who makes Megabass blanks?
Just wondering who makes Megabass blanks? I heard that Daiko makes alot of blanks for many of the really good Japanese rod companies such as Evergreen and such, but does this also include Megabass? Thanks.

Re: Shimano Curado D - My complaints.....
I wish Shimano would offer the Chronarch 100A or 100SF as a "retro" thing or re-introduce them as classic models or something. I love those reels. Its like Daiwa keeping the PT33 series that came out in 1986/7.

Shimano Triple Impact...
Has anyone used a Shimano Triple Impact lure? They seem really hot on eBay right now and they look good too. Just wondering if anyone has tried one or how you would even fish them. Are they a jerkbait or a topwater or what? Any input is appreciated. Thanks for the info...

2006 Ito reels...
Any word on what model(s) will be up for tuning by Megabass for next year. I would like to see a non magnesium reel with CRBB's but with all the bells and whistles associated with Ito stuff. My dream would be an aluminum TD-Z with the Ito spool and CRBB's in teal blue. But that's just me. What do yo...
