Re: st croix legend tournament. worth the money?

I own rods from almost every line SC makes....best bang for your buck is the LT series. Still get their best warranty and a great rod and components. I really enjoy the short handle after getting used to it.

Re: MB Destroyer Tomahawk GTA

Judging by all the extremely positive reviews Gary has had with all other MB rods....I think I will steer clear of the GTAs. Thanks for honest responses.

MB Destroyer Tomahawk GTA

Any on water reviews on these 2 rods? Interested in either size. Not much out there that I could find. Not sure if its worth it to spend this much $$ on a cranking rod but love the looks and design of the rod. Struggling to resist this purchase...

Re: Frog/Deep crank rod?

Another rod that fits the bill......St Croix Xtreme/LT 7'6" MHMF. Soft enough action for DD cranks but fast enough/powerful enough for yanking them out of the pads flipping or frogging. Love that rod.

Re: Jackall Poison Adrena Rods

Not sure if anyone has held or fished the 7'2" HMF. I am wondering if the rod feels like a true heavy with little tip play. I am hoping for a heavy action and a softer tip for sensitivity with Jigs. From other posts I have seen that a few have noted the Expride 72 MHF to be a bit on the heavy side s...

Re: finally...JDM Shimano rods in north america.

Besides the cork vs Eva grip and different butt design, does anyone see an advantage to the adrena series vs the expride? The way the blanks are described I almost think they are the same thing....but just speculating. With a $50-70 difference, I am leaning towards ordering an expride, but if someon...

Re: Expride Anyone?

The 2 pc construction concerns me as you are fishing a "power" technique rod - whether heavy jigs, SBs, frogs or just near slop - and placing high stress on the blank. I could envision the rod slowly working its way out of the handle and then you crack a strong hook set on a big bass in the slop and...

Re: Expride Anyone?

would anyone consider "locking" these 2pc rods together with glue or epoxy of some sort? If I spent that kind of $ on a rod I would want to set it in perfect alignment and keep it there. Just a thought...looking at two of the7'2" models - either adrena or expride and considering my options

Re: Ci4+ > metanium ?

External svs adjustability and brass gearing and a big price break seal the deal for me.....its CI4. I much prefer the looks/lines of the Met but including all factors I would go Ci4

Livingston Medium Diver - Classic Winner

Since the classic final day was dominated on this bait...I thought I would ask if anyone else had success with this bait? I know he was using the "pro" model not yet available, but it didn't look all that different the the spring craw medium diver they have out. I am very suspect of a company with t...

Re: St.Croix LXC68MXF and LXC68MHF

i haven't used the newest incarnation of LXC XF models, but in the past the XF models that you mentioned were always too fast of an action for my fishing style. It led to a lot of breakoffs and did not make the fish fighting experience a very good one as you were only using one-fifth of your rod to ...

Re: finally...JDM Shimano rods in north america.

I am definitely considering the 7'2" Adrena Heavy rod. I will have to see how the construction is on the two-piece... that is the only part that scares me. Looks like a great jig/pitching rod. I have no idea why they would consider a two piece on rods over 7ft when nearly all boat manufacturers are ...
