For a long time I was a avid Loomis user. Used to pair my old BCR's with Steez's. Forwarded to the later green GLX's. It wasn't the prettiest combos, but the performance was spectacular.

That's good to know. Rather than adding a few things that'll spike the price. The steez is an actual performance upgrade it sounds like.
The standard 100, 103, and 1016 spools weren't the same.
Wonder how the spool from Steez tw 1016sv differentiates from the Steez 103sv.

The reel is modeled as a 1016 sv, is it any different from the 103 sv spool?
Line cap is the same.

What kind of mono do you use for backing?
I'd want to avoid the extra cash (although it's pretty cheap) for a spool solely for backing purposes.
Also, would you typically match the line diameter?

Anyone gotten marks in their reel foot from the X7 reel seat? I purchased a few X7 rods (super rekkai) earlier this year. I've noticed on all the reels that I have mounted on the rods have scuffs on the reel foot now. I'm sure I'm not going Hulk on tightening it down. Maybe that's why the 2015 model...
