For the heck of it I tested one of those old zebco spring load scales for accuracy using iron plates from my weight bench. I tried 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10 pound increments. Here are my results: 2.5 lbs iron plate read 2 or 2 and a quarter lbs on the scale. 5 lbs was dead on every time. 7.5 lbs (a 5 and ...

I gut hooked two giant smallies in Maine using huge sucker fish for live bait fishing for pike maybe 8 years ago.
