I am an ABU fan and all my reels have them. However I never use them. I just clean all my reels thoroughly once a year. I do occasionally add a drop of rocket fuel oil to my spool bearing once I hear it start to make noise.

Does anyone here use the lube port on their baitcasters?
I've owned several, and have never used one. It didn't seem to make sense on the water, and, at least for the reels I had, it didn't allow for a thorough lubing of the gears.

Does the Z bushing material used in 13Fishing reels eliminate all the excess movement and uneven loading?
