Re: Boat shoes

What kind of rig do you have that necessitates getting wet? Tracker 175 txw When someone goes with me its not a problem, its only when I'm by myself, loading and unloading the boat on the trailer. Gotcha, I only ask because I have a system where I don't touch the water but I know each boat/trailer ...

Re: Reel size sample

FWIW I have similar results with the Lews Lite. I can throw 1/8-1/4 baits a mile (swims and blades). I did put ZPI bearings in it as well. That's the only mod.

Re: How well does braided line cast on a baitcaster?

I use 832 on 3 of my BC, 20lb and 30lb test. Zero issues and it handles very well for me. I typically use a fluro leader as well.

Re: Looking for backpack suggestions.

I use an LL Bean school bag that is pretty large and ripstop nylon. I can get 4 3700s in it easy and squeeze a 5th but that becomes a PITA. I bought it years ago but this looks like the current version. Plenty of storage for line spools, scales, extras, etc. https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/116656?fe...

Bearing help

I have a lews reel that is not listed on any of the schematic websites, nor do the schematics give sizing on the bearings. How do I go about determining which sizes I need for me reel? The first 2 to upgrade are my top 2 baitcasters: Lews SpeedSpool Lite:TLL1SH and Tournament Pro: TPG1SH Can I take ...

Re: The Worse ..........

Probably a Gardener rod-pod - I'm not sure you chaps would know what one is though? I'm the world's worst lure angler (Most of us are more adept with baits for pike over here.) so my opinion doesn't really count for much, but I've had a couple of the Hooker Shad lure for years now and never even ha...
