Re: USDM vs JDM Tatula
It's a matter of numbers unfortunately . Your average fisherman doesn't buy high end fluoro and probably uses the same line all year so he isn't concerned with how deep a spool is. When I sold reels at BPS/Cabelas, I was amazed at how many guys actually want 12-150yds. I assume that it was catalogs ...

Re: Daiwa Completes Their Suite with the Tatula Casting Rods
This changes things.... Pretty much pulled these from my list. Definitely going to pick a couple up if they feel as good as review says.

Re: What the... Finesse Alphas?

I only posted cause Im quite surprized at how well my pinnacle doe...

Re: What the... Finesse Alphas?
from article: "I commented my ability to reach distances of roughly forty feet with a 3g finesse jig on this combo. That was an on-the-water estimate. Back at TT HQ, I tried again for a more quantitative measurement and can confirm distances of closer to thirty feet. This was with all casting ...

Re: Daiwa USDM market question
Why does daiwa only make 100 size reels in the US market nowadays (besides the pixy)? I want to use daiwa reels for my lighter techniques, but the heavy spools (due to all the line) make it tough to do so. Does anyone know if daiwa will be making 103 or 105 sized reels that are affordable sometime ...

Re: Need a straight forward answer
capesmallie, What does Shim/Loomis say about all the rods? I recently had an issue with a different manufacturer and they never questioned me. Do they give you any info on other customer's situations? I can't imagine they continue to warranty your rods if they thought it was you causing the error ev...

Qutestion: Daiwa Baitcasting Spools
Why is Daiwa transitioning away from the Free Floating Spool in the Tatula, Lexa, Exceler(guessing), Aird, and Laguna reels? I have owned Daiwa since I learned how to use a baitcaster and from the Advantage, TDX, Sol, and on up to the Steez they have all been Free Floating Spools. Is this going to m...

Re: Does 832 Stand Up to Sudden Impact? It Might Make Your D
In the review under the Material Strength category Sunline, Sufix, Daiwa, and PowerPro were all mentioned. I am really looking forward to reading how Sunline stacked up to the other braid giants. Hey Cal, I know there is already a review on Toray Finesse Braid, but have you run it through The Machin...
