Re: A source for 4x7x2.5mm bearings?
I don't know what you guys clean your bearings with but I use naphtha and an ultrasonic cleaner. Well I bought 30 bearings of all different sizes from Avid RC for the $1 each, and I was very disappointed. When I got the bearings they seemed fine. I took the bearings and put them in naphtha and in t...

Yeah, or get the Revolution version that has a rubber seal on one side and metal on the other for $1 each as well.Real Pudd legend wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 8:39 pmThere are a couple options, so you get the standard metal one for $1.00?

Re: Line question
I use braid to leader on just about every setup I have. I find that if I'm losing fish, it's either a drag or hook issue. I also don't use mono as a leader, even for topwaters, I'll use copoly.
What hooks are you using?

Re: A source for 4x7x2.5mm bearings?
I order from avidrc.com when I don't want to wait for bigger bulk orders from overseas. They have metal 4x7x2.5 bearings for a buck a piece.

Re: A list of great spool swaps
Has anyone used the 28mm Rays deep spool in an Alphas Air TW? Send like it would make for a good small cranks reel. I have that spool in a Gekkabijin and it's a fantastic power bfs spool. 3.5 grams and up on money. There's 2 versions, one being a fixed inductor. I have the SV model. Thanks Tim, how...

Re: A list of great spool swaps
Has anyone tried the Pixy (PX) finesse spool in the Alphas Air Stream Custom? Has anyone ran the Alphas Air Stream Custom spool in a Pixy? The magnets are the same between the two reels so for all intents and purposes, they *shouldn't* (in theory) behave any differently than they do in they're orig...

Re: EWG Light Wire Hooks for Light T-Rigs
Owner makes a light wire EWG with a centering pin that I really like using for weightless flukes. It's a needlepoint too which I like better than a cutting point.

Re: Steez Gear Mods
There is also the Megabass IS reels which come is a number of 7 gear ratios including a 7.9:1 with the IS79 yet all have magnesium side plates. Are these the older small gear box steez or did Megabass pull off some Megabass tweaking? Anything over 7.1 is the bigger gearbox. I'm pretty sure the part...

Re: Daiwa Kage walleye 761MLXS
I've fished with this exact rod for over two years. Right now, I have a JDM Caldia MQ 4000CXH on it with 10lb. braid. I have used this for hair jigs up north in NY and really for anything finesse. It fishes an Okashira and 3" Hazedong like a champ. It is a killer Ned rod and excellent for small tub...

Re: Daiwa Kage walleye 761MLXS
That stinks! Sounds good! Appreciate the update! I got out and fished it yesterday. No fish on it but I can definitely say it's more sensitive and crisp than the Tatula. I could easily distinguish bottom composition more easily and it balances beautifully for either tip up or tip down presentations...

Re: Daiwa Kage walleye 761MLXS
If you pick one up let me know what you think of it. I bet its a winner. I received the rod last week, but some mouth breathing broad named Fiona ruined my plans to try it over the weekend. What I can tell you from handling it is that it's well balanced with a Zaion bodied 2506 Daiwa reel, feels ex...
