Re: Gear ratio: 8 VS 7?
I always say use whats more comfortable to you. As for ratio, IPT should be what you are looking at. One reels 6 speed may just be as fast as anothers 7 speed, and on and on. So, there are the people that prefer fast or slow reels for certain applications. If Im swimming baits, I prefer something a...

Re: Tacklewarehouse - Why not to Preorder...
From my experience and I have a lot of them, when you order they will send you everything that is in stock and then send you your back ordered items once they all arrive. If something on the back ordered list comes in but not all you can get it but you have to pay shipping for each shipment if you e...

Re: Swimming Unweighted Worms Rod
Not to change the subject, but maybe you should try a shallow spool or a reel capable of casting light baits.

I got the General in black and blue flake and they turn a greyish color quickly and the texture changes. Sounds like a max scent theme.

Re: Daiwa spool tension problem
IF that's your issue, yes it's fixable if you know what you're doing. You'll need to take the spool apart to repair it. If you aren't comfortable doing that, just send it to The tackle trap or ian shields to repair it. It's a very "easy" fix but it's a bit precise if that makes sense. You don't rea...

Re: Daiwa spool tension problem
Open up the side plate and see if you can rotate the inductor on the spool by hand. If you can, that's your problem. I had this happen on an old TDZ100m spool once. Would do the same thing that's happening to you. No idea how the inductor didn't just come off and get stuck in the magnets on the sid...

Re: Daiwa spool tension problem
The reel is on the boat and won’t be able to check it till Saturday, but what hold the inductor for moving. I am no reel technician. Thanks for the help.iabass8 wrote:Check the inductor on your spool. If it's loose or spinning you won't get any spool tension.

Re: Daiwa spool tension problem
I have a Daiwa zillion tws, I was fishing the other day and noticed I was getting some over runs. Tightened up spool tension a bit but same result. Ended up tightening it all the way and no tension. Anyone know what the issue may be. Thanks The following post should be right on. Have you disassembl...

I’ve had a first generation 6’6 medium for 3 years that I use for jerkbaits and topwater’s with no issues at all. Actually one of my favorite rods. Can’t speak on the new gen

If the xxx never came out everybody would be all over these like flies on $**+! The xxx are decent rods and if the new xx rods fish better then the originals dressed up like a xxx then I believe they will be a hit!!!

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??
I had the Tour Versatile in the original line, but didn’t get a chance to try to Perfect Pirch. What made the PP so much more widely loved than the TV in yall’s opinions? I've never fished the TV but the pp has just the right amount of tip for many techniques and flows right into a solid backbone. ...

There appears to be a new perfect pitch. If it’s as good as the original or better then you will have all the frog rod you need!Hey jack18 wrote:Will there be a frog model
