Re: Anyone with experience with Daiwa cronos spinning rods?
Thanks for the replies. Now in an buy with confidence. I like the Tatula rods already and if the cronos are better, then I'm sure I'll like them.

Anyone with experience with Daiwa cronos spinning rods?
Looking for opinions on the Daiwa cronos spinning rods. Specifically the 7'6" m-ml fast rod. I want a long rod for float and fly, spinbaits and drop shot. Can anyone speak to the sensitivity, feel and versatility of this rod?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Bearings for SV spools
Ordered an sv spool for my Alphas type f. So, the reel currently has 11x5 and 8x3 spool bearings in it. I'm guessing I need a bearing retainer to get it to fit properly in my reel. Does anyone know if the spool comes with one? the 3x10x4 bearing that is on the spool shaft, is in a sleeve, that bump...

Re: *Suggestions for "enthusiast" finesse/drop shot rod in 2
I'm loving my 2015 hedgehog. I don't worry about the tip anymore either. It takes little getting used to, but I can make hard overhead casts with a 4"-6" worms with a 1/4 oz weight. It can feel a little overpowered with that weight, but it's handled it fine. It's extremely sensitive. I feel every li...

Re: Bearings for SV spools
Thanks guys. I'm wondering about sizing mostly. I noticed that some of the spool and sideplate sizes changed with the sv spools

Bearings for SV spools
I'm upgrading my Alphas type-F and Luna with sv spools. I have a tdz spool in the Luna so I'm going with a Steez sv103 spool. Anyone know what's bearing changes if any I'd have to make?

Re: Any recommendations for Tatula spools?
No sv spool for the Tatula. I would get a shallow jdm Tatula spool. I'm hoping the Tatula CT spool fits into the older Tatula. That would make a nice upgrade.

Re: help with gears sticking
Finally got around to swapping the gear set. Good as new now. I don't see any imperfections in the old gears. Must be minuscule which would speak to the precision of the gears.

Re: ALX Powerbolt or Kistler He3 H 711 MAD
I decided to go with tech specific rods. A Phenix m1 Swimbait rod from TW during their sale. For a flip/punch rid, I'll keep an eye out for a good deal. It's not something I do much so I can wait it out for a great deal. Thanks again for the advice

ALX Powerbolt or Kistler He3 H 711 MAD
Looking for a rod to handle flipping/punching as well as a-rigs and swimbaits up to about 3 ounces. These two seem well suited but have no experience with either companies. Has anyone here used either or both rods? It's hard to say what technique I'll be using most. It's almost 50/50 between heavy c...

Lefty alphas front plate
Does anyone have the part number for it? I've ordered direct from Daiwa and somewhere else and both times received a right handed front plate. Maybe the part number I have is wrong.

Re: Question for MB Hedge Hog owners
I'm using 12 lb sunline sx1 with a 6-10 ft leader of either 6 or 8 lb fluoro. No issues with the knot passing through the guides. I've used a blood knot and Albright knot.

Re: *Suggestions for "enthusiast" finesse/drop shot rod in 2
vncnt and bronzefly - how careful do you have to be with the Stinger tip on the 2015 Hedgehog? I assume that the fragile breakage is a thing of the past (given my experience with the XX Stinger)? Do you also know how it fishes compared to the A-Mart Phase III and X4? I'm sure it's quite different g...
