Re: Exsence Dc questions

The dc unit that's mounted on the palm-side plate is 8000 yen if that's something you want to consider. Interesting and thanks for the info. Would you mind posting a link to where they sell the DC units only for the Exscence DC reel? If not could you send me the info via PM. I may buy one as a spar...

Very cool video you posted John G. The parts where the bass inhaled and rejected the artificial lures in a matters of seconds was pretty neat.

Re: What Shimano DC Next?

I only have used the Exscence DC. Likes it so much I bought a second. I believe the distance is quite good and the reel would be perfect for the apps you are looking at. Less costly and lighter in weight than the Calais DC even if it doesn't quite cast as far.

Re: Alphas SV owners

Any swept Daiwa handle should work fine. Something like a Zillion TWS or Tatula Handle would be the least costly route. RCS and other companies like Avail have some as well but the cost is much higher.

Thanks for the review Mark. Can you further comment on your prior comments about the action being lighter?

Re: Exsence DC or Tatula type R100xs

Both would be great. Given the price difference the Tatula Type R may offer better value. I prefer the palaming of my Exscence DC. The casting distance is a bit better and overall a more fun reel to use with the brake modes and DC wine. I just ordered a 2nd Exscence DC. The price is very reasonable ...

Wait for the holidays to pass and the sales. I doubt many people will buy until then.

Cumulus 6'10. Uses are jerkbaits, small cranks, lighter bottom contact baits, etc.

Re: Megabass Levante

Hmmm... "Lighter action" meaning less power or meaning softer and more parabolic/slower. If that is the case I may have to rethink getting one. I wanted a bottom contact rod but if they fish slower I will look elsewhere. Once Wednesday passes and you fish a few please follow up on actions/tapers in ...
