It's the best I own for my medium power bottom contact rods I guess. I 'm really an aluminum frame guy. I like the smoothness and hooksetting power aluminum frames give me.

Spool is '5 grams lighter', so that should put it at 13 grams.

Re: Which Loomis or Megabass Rod for 1/2oz spinnerbaits

I think the Loomis 843 is the standard. The new glx reel seat bothers my big hands, but I think I'm in the minority. You are not the minority.. I was not a fan of the new reel seat as i found it uncomfortable as well, and sold mine off. A shame for sure. I would have a quiver of them if the seat di...

Re: Is Zillion SV worth cost over Tatula SV?

I don't know about the slp. I got a new 7.3 sv tat in the mail today , it doesn't feel near as smooth as the one I already have. Feels like a crappy pinion bearing or anti reverse bearing. That's how my luck rolls , I guess.. I took the side plate off removed what little grease there was , re-lubed...

Nice. We have just a short time before the crappie get hot, but I'm seeing some dogwood bloom here in Tulsa.

Re: Shimano Expride 7’ light+ thoughts

I'm also in the market for a light + or ml for a double duty light finesse rod for the lake and creek, that is also capable with a slip float and jigs during the crappie spawn. Im eyeing the 820 glx dsr, but am a little concerned it will be too light. This light + does sound nice

Re: Seditions and some others.

Cool looking sticks. If they do a collaboration with Loomis, I'll be first in line to buy one. https://media1.tenor.com/images/b609c1e0c50a36d03417387ebea791fc/tenor.gif?itemid=11080731 It just came out, lol. The compile x steez was the last jdm rod I purchased due to its sexiness, so I'm a little ...

That steez came to mind instantly when I read the thread. Apparently by the reviews on tackle warehouse, people still pay the money for this model.

Re: New Tatula100

I doubt any daiwa pro gets to choose which reel they market. They want ehler using a reel at the Tatula price point, but he likes the size of the steez. Daiwa probably felt others would be of the same opinion. Voila! A tatula 100.

Re: New Tatula100

My two 8.1's came in. Palm excellently...better than my steez with the way I hold them. It's like it has a little more meat on the gear side for my fingers to grab. Makes my 894 feel balanced. I think the '20 zillion will be based on this, and be a slightly 'heftier' steez.

I think daiwa's newer high-grip knobs are my favorite. Not sexy, but damn comfy. I did like the septons on my old mg50's alot.
