Re: Peacock Mania
Do peacocks have teeth or are their mouths sandpaper like bass? I never see anyone lip them. no teeth. In fact, I think less sandpaper than LMB. I don't lip them w/o my bogas simply because they sometimes give very strong jerks. Peacocks exceeding 10lbs are very common, and anything above 20lb is p...

Re: Megabass Lin 10 Black Jungle
Only used the Lin1016 before. It cast like a dream. Just like the Conquest 101. however, for prolonged casting, and retrieves, I'd prefer the conquest cause the palming side is more curved, and feels less hard/harsh in my hand. The Lin 10 Black Jungle looks like one mean machine tho. Post some pics ...

Re: Peacock Mania
Awesome! I've always wanted to head down to south FL to hunt some peacocks. Never caught one but it's on my to do list for sure. Thanks for sharing :-) You should. Those were caught in Singapore tho. I've no idea how big are the peacock bass in South Fl, but they definitely pack a lot more fight in...

Peacock Mania
This past cold winter in NYC had me thinking about the good old days.. http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh563/haoz36/image-3.jpeg Background edited out to protect the fishing spot. I know I did a rough work, but I hope you still enjoy the pic. http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh563/haoz36/imag...

Re: 2014 shimano conquest knob weirdness
I don’t find the new knobs offensive at all, I like how easy they are now in removing the end caps without having to pry them out. I use to pry the regular knob caps out too until I figured out a better way to get them out. A 90 degree bend on the end of a spinnerbait wire that I don't use is all i...

Re: JDM Shimano Spinning Reel Question
I would recommend c3000 size for the extra line capacity. It's the size of a 2500 body if I am not wrong. 4000 is a little big for luring. I have a size c3000 on a ML 6'6 bass rod and I can cast whole day not a problem. Center of gravity is right in your palm and casting is like extension of your ar...

Re: JDM Shimano Spinning Reel Question
yea, and parts are simple to change too. If the need arises. nothing will go wrong with the rarenium. I might be mistaken, but Rarenium seems to come with a spare spool. A C3000 size reel can even handle sailfish. Really fun. Takes about 2 years of non stop fishing in hot humid tropical weather, bef...

Something new came in today...
Story goes, a couple of days ago, I came onto tackletour forum and clicked around. Saw this hedgehog studios website.. Couldn't resist. Click further... And I forgot about it. Nice rod!
How does it feel with a fish on one end of that stick?
It's so mean looking, I'm sure all bass will keep away... Hahaha
