I would say the same. I think Shimano has Daiwa beat for spinning (debatable for baitcasters).Bassmar wrote:Because I prefer Shimano spinners to DaiwaHeronimo wrote:Curious- why the fuego second to the Sedona? I tend to like Daiwa's but I don't have anything under 3000 size.

Re: Dipping or Wrapping Reels
I'm pretty sure that there is already a thread on this but I'm not sure. There has been instances where the dip would mess with automotive clear coat so I would be careful dipping your reels. Also there are only so many parts of the reel you can wrap. It is impossible to fully wrap the mid frame and...

Re: T3 and variants found lacking
JA, what do you mean by "diminishing"? I don't like the T3 reels besides the spools, but my fishing buddy love them to death. Different stroke for different people I guess. Compared to other Daiwa models, Pixy, TD series, Zillion among them, which come out of the strong and with proper maintenance,...

Re: What do you think?
This is another one that the groove doesn't fit how the TWS works. Both of the grooves in this picture are at an angle to the left. Wind your reel and watch the TWS and see how the line rides on the TWS. Then explain to me how you can get two grooves like in the picture. The grooves would have to b...

Spinning Reel size
Is a 40 sized reel more like a 4000 or a 3000. I am talking in general not a specific reel.
