Re: Revo Spools
The spool for a Revo STX is part number 1125788. You should be able to buy this as a spare part from ABU. Looking at the drawing, there may be 4-5 other small parts you need (bearings, clips, etc) to make it a complete, quickly interchangable assembly. As for a lighter STX spool I am not aware of an...

Re: Using PayPal for JDM tackle
I would be very suspicious of the e-mail. Normally Paypal will not e-mail and ask for info. I certainly would not open a link in that e-mail and log on or give my password - NO MATTER HOW REAL IT LOOKS.
You may want to just go to Paypal site and log on and see if you account asks for any info.

Re: Worm Rod GLX, IMX, or dropshot crucial for chronarch 50m
DR / MTobey,
Never had any experience with Dobyns rods. Have several Loomis IMX and consider them to be excellent and especially good at sensitivity.
Have you made direct comparisons between IMX and Dobyns, and if so how would you compare sensitivity between the two?
Thanks

Thanks, I had searched, but not very well. This one post tells most of the story.

Conversion of Conquest 50 to 50S?
I own 2 of the 50 models, and. they are super reels. After reading some of the comments made, particularly from ROG, I am interested to know if it is possible and economically feasible (not a monkey approved phrase) to convert the 50 to a 50S. Does anyone know if there are more differences than just...

Re: Light casting rod for 1/8 oz lures, etc.
Great review ROG. Sounds like this is a real well suited rod for this purpose. Seems from previous posts I have read that the 50S casts light stuff measurably better than the regular 50. I have a couple Conquest 50's and am very happy with how they cast. Does anyone know what it takes to convert a 5...

Re: Revo Premier ??
Guys, the object of the post was to ask if anyone had knowledge or experience with the new Premier reel, not to have arguements whether it was better or worse (lighter) than others. Since the points have been raised here are some facts: Pixy is a Mg frame reel Mg and Al are both Metallic elements (h...

Re: Revo Premier ??
Thanks for the link Skeeter, missed that one. I agree there are many lighter reels, Pixy, Steez, and even Scorpion MG. Key point is they are all MG, where the Revo is AL.

Revo Premier ??
I may be behind the times on this, but have seen no posts or info about this new model. Got Cabelas Fall Fishing catalog this week, and it had the Revo Premier. It looks similar to the Revo STX except the handle is different. The weight is listed as 6.35oz. It is advertised as the "lightest low prof...

Re: Can someone tell me....
Charlton made some of the finest, most functional fly reels ever made. In the late 90's or early 2000's they were bought by Scientific Anglers, and SA continued to market / sell their reels. Then they quit. The reels have become extremely collectable and they can still be found. Their Titanium reels...

Re: lighter rods
The Three forks I have is a 3 weight, 7'6". I would rate the action as slightly faster than medium. It certainly is not whippy, and is not overly stiff, that makes it slightly faster than medium in my definition. I can not compare to TFO (no experience with them). I can compare to the following: Sag...

mRVA,
Very nice fish. Do you know if bass are native to the waters in your country? If not, are they native to other countries in Europe?
