Re: Pixy use
Tournament style fishing is the opposite of this: All my reels have daiwa neo reels covers...8 bucks moeny well spent considering what they are protecting. I fish out of a carpeted bass boat and all my reels have covers on them till the are used and they look the same now as they did when I bought t...

Re: Blue-back herring color question
Mine look like, well, a bright bait, rather than a fish! Gonna sand and repaint, try a little darker shade, I think.

Seems Google dropped support for Safari, I used to be able to hotlink them, anyone know of a tool that will trick sites into thinking it's IE or something?

Re: reel for light crankbaits
For the really small or lightweight cranks I use a Scorpion 1000 with 5:1 gear set + bearing supported handle + ABEC 7 spool bearings... How does one get those gears in a Scorpion? Do you have to have a donor reel? I use an Advantage P series, it does well for me, it really depends on how light you...
Re: Carrots
All we have to do is win this weekend, and that rod is yours
Re: Carrots
That's quite a feat then, glass-like action with custom weight in a $150 stick. I might try one of Z-man's

That's true.

Re: Carrots
G-Blanks are 'custom' rods, right? What's is a range of weights for rods, if such a thing exists? I hear that stuff like Megabass rods are heavy, but would love to know a 'normal' range, even though such a thing doesn't exist, I suppose.

Re: Stylish fishing gear....
Oh well, then. I'm certainly stylish in the Japan fishign circuit then, with my long hair, piercings, ink, big studded belt, chain wallet and t-shirt/jeans.
I don't shop though, but you can ask my wife where she gets the stuff I wear!

Re: Stylish fishing gear....
You mean clothing designed to go fishing in, I suppose? You added the stylish part, or I would be able to recommend the back of a Bass Pro Shops book.
If you mean clothing sporting some sort of fishing logo, I have no idea of that either, but hey, if Golfers can have the plaid, I'll take a look.

Re: New Major Craft Day's Rod
Could you elaborate on the removable foregrip? Does it seperate from the reel seat? I assume it's large enough to then slip over the guides?
