Re: trouble getting the live sammy to walk
Avid, I've not fished the bait, so I'm only guessing here, but my guess is the "live" nature of this bait is the issue. The flex in the tail is probably causing unwanted drag in the water as you get the bait closer to you. Try, perhaps, switching out the feather trailer to a standard treble hook one...

My Daiwa ZPI handles fit my Abu Morrum reels but these are the only Abu reels I have at the moment. Assumng all Abu handles are interchangeable, th...

Re: Why Swimbaits work!
Taken from another post regarding DaveJ's recent lunker on a swimbait: I hear this from the back of the boat "Oh my god, I got a huge one, this thing is big, Oh my god, Oh my god!!!!" in a high pitched school girl tone. Kinda makes ya wonder what DaveJ would have sounded like in the fella in the vid...

Re: fatcbbds2 Lucky Craft
QNT... if i had to guess, I'd say 1-4 ft. judging by the way it looks. I see there are no spec's on LC's site regarding the bait's running depth.. weird.

Re: Which model Kistler Helium (II) for all around use?
errr... I wouldn't be the one to ask specific questions regarding this lineup. I've yet to fish the He2. But you can always follow my example when making a decision such as this - buy them all! Otherwise, in general, yes, the Sol should be able to handle the wide range of baits you're look...

Not to worry J4K cuz the He2 doesn't use CORK anywayjust4kix wrote: I'm not sure if the split cork will make the rod feel unbalanced to me which seems to usually be the case with the split from what I hear.

Re: Looking for the perfect texas rig rod.
Red, Here are a couple of MB Rod reviews of which you may or may not be aware: Super Destroyer III Seven Eleven These wouldn't be my first choice for a TX-Rig specific rod, but they might help you understand some of the characteristics of these rods. If you were to go Megabass, I'd suggest something...

Re: replacement knobs...
Mizmo,
Ok.. had some time to check out my Chron SF's handle. Actually, the knobs are removeable, but the shaft that supports the stock knobs has some machined ridges that will preclude installation of replacement knobs. Here are some photographs:
