Re: Deep Zonda spool in Alphas R Edition

I really like the R+ spool, it excels with 1/4 oz pop r's and 12# line. I found the Zonda spools works better with heavier test line and heavier baits. I like both spools better than the SV spools.

Re: Best Rod for Poppers and Prop Baits

MB X7 Super Elseil is the best 1/4 oz. pop r rod I have ever used. Cast well, works the bait well, and has plenty of power to land fish.

I would take a 901s Conquest.

But my 901s NRX is my favorite spinning rod.

To me the NRX is more sensitive over the Conquest, a new NRX 901s with full grip would be awesome.
I picked up a NRX 901S, it's the most fun of all my spinning rods. Casts 1/16 oz spinner like a charm.

Steez AGS 7'6" MML. Sensitive with great range 1/16 to 3/4 oz. Plenty of power.

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?

Got rid of mine, but decided I liked spinning rods more for shakeyheads. So, then I decided to try a longer rod, so I got some more.

Oldies like the alphas ito, pixy, millionaire ringa sss, td ito have never left my rotation. In fact, with all the T-Wing spam on everything coming out, i appreciate my "oldies" more and more.
I'm also stuck in the past, no TWs.

Re: Braid causing gear wear?

I do not see how braid would have an effect on gears, but I might be ignorant. Unless, it is causing more resistance. What gear ratio are you using? Btw I hate fishing bladed jigs cuz I feel like it makes my gear and my bones rattle lol. Unfortunetely last 3 out of 3 orders from JLS they threw in j...

Re: Sunline Defier Armilo for cranking?

Armilo is good for the money, but the green Defier is the cat's meow! I have used it for cranking, and topwater for years without any issue. Granted it is expensive for mono, but well worth it IMHO. I heard rumor early last year that they were going to stop importing the green Defier so I bought up...

Total hit and miss. Digitaka seems to be on track. I've seen 3-4 days, and other stuff getting returned to the sender.
Order 2 reels from them in the last 2 months, both came in less than a week. 2nd reel was order 2 wk ago and came in 5 days.

I picked Megabass because I have a monoblock I use for cranking. How I need a conquest for swimbaits.
