Re: Is it just me?

Radio news:

"NORAD reports that Santa's sleigh has left European airspace and is currently over Iceland, where it will briefly pause before moving on to North America."

Re: Rod for light (1/64th ounce) jigs

Thanks for the tip. I just looked at that at Rakuten. Wish I could make sense of the translated comment there. :) Haven't bought a new rod, yet. Too caught up with bass fishing. In the middle of the U.S., we've had two straight weeks of temperatures in the 60s and 70s. April weather. I have bass rea...

Re: Yen Yen (Yen)

With apologies:

There once was a rod shop in Wight
That delivered much faster than light.
I ordered one day, in a relative way,
and got my rod on the previous night.

Re: Yen Yen (Yen)

According to the Antidiamonitarian Model of currency interactions, the Yen has both successfully and unsuccessfully tested the luminary flux level, and thus its future position is best represented as a cloud of quantum probabilities. I consulted my personal financial guru and got this answer: "Reply...

Re: Rod for light (1/64th ounce) jigs

I'm using tied marabou jigs on Trilene XL. I can shoot a single jig maybe 30 or 40 feet with the noodle-curve St. Croix--farther, if there's a wind to my back. I think the rod's moderate action dampens the energy I can transmit into the cast. I like to work the jig with a constant, subtle twitching ...

Rod for light (1/64th ounce) jigs

I'm looking for an ultralight rod for casting a single, 1/64th-ounce jig on 2#-test mono line. The rod should be short, in the 4.5- to 5.5-foot range, and fast or (better) extra-fast action. I want the marabou tail on a jig to bounce with every blood pulse in my fingertip, and I want to feel it when...

I hope it stays down until the Calcutta BFS comes out.

Re: Dollar/yen exchange rate

There may be other considerations, as well. For example, I wanted a right-handed model of the Antares DC. On the website I was following, the right-handed option disappeared. When I emailed the owner, he said he still had a couple of righties. So I grabbed one. If I'd waited until after Jan. 20, wha...

I will do that. I needed another reel like I need a hole in my head, but, hey, you only live once.

Dollar/yen exchange rate

I've been waiting to pull the trigger on an Antares DC. Thanks to the dropping exchange rate, the price I've been watching has fallen by almost 10 percent in the last few weeks.

Is it time? =P~

2016 Antares DC owners, verdict?

If you have fished with the new Antares DC, what is your opinion so far? With the dollar getting stronger against the yen nearly every day, this is becoming a pretty good time to buy one. Also, the DC weighs the same as the 2015 Calcutta 100, 220 grams. The Calcutta has 12 bearings, the Antares 10. ...

What's the price in U.S. dollars?

Kind of heavy. ;)
