I got to handle these rods at a sport show over the weekend, I was very impressed. Why can't there be a medium light casting or spinning version???? The CNQ 782C MBR 6' 6" is medium light It's actually considered a "medium" powered rod. I have both, imho the steez wins for overall strength and versatility. The aldebaran is an awesome reel, super smooth and unbelievably light, but it is a bit "finessey"..I'd get both..
