Dont drop shot much down here, but when I do, I prefer the easy adjustability of the pinch weights. Moving from one area or just locating of fish, I find the pinch weights better.

Most of the Japanese light jigging reels seem to hold about the same. Given the intended use of this reel or Shimano's Stile range, 200m of PE1 is a fair bit. Say 200 yards of good quality Japanese 20+lb braid.

I think on the Ecsence reels, the dc only works at the end of a cast. So probably doesnt engage in scenario you are giving. Take it out for a cast, whine should start say 1/2-2/3 of way to touchdown.
