Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Made it to Lake Bacarrac with four friends Robert Perez, Noah Arroyo & Justin Bell as part of Wayne Campbell's Swimbait Universe group. 21 guys in the group so we had a full house at the lodge for 5 days of fishing & fun. The trip offered an incentive to the guy who caught the biggest bass with a f...

Re: What are you cranking with?
I use a curado 200i PG in 5:1 with 17lb Suffix Advantage
I use a Bantam PG in 5:1 with 14lb Suffix Advantage
I use a calais 6:1 with 20lb Tatsu.
Bantam is the smoothest of the three.

Re: Sensitive Moving Bait Rods
I think jerkbaits are the trickiest of the bunch. Finding the perfect tip speed for not over or under working various style and depth baits, yet having a blank that will properly load and flex deep enough (not to deep), to keep fish pinned. I believe sensitivity is a little more important here than...

Take a look at the Kistler Helium 3 MOD 7'10" 3/8 to 3 oz. It's on sale for $219.95 and covers all the bases you are looking for. I have bought two of them & they are the real deal for what your trying to accomplish. I believe it's available in a 7'6" also.

Re: Bantam MGL
I have two PG, two XG & two HG. Four brakes on & adjust the dial from 2.5 plus or minus works for me. I pair then up with mostly Z bones & Helium 3 and a couple of customs. I sold all my mets for Bantam money.

Re: Your favorite rod taper for Jerkbaits
I like a medium heavy moderate action high modulus rod for use with braid & a leader. I have an Otterrods built on a St Croix 7'2" legend extreme blank The better quality rods are more crisp handling when working the bait. When I'm using straight fluoro I like a medium heavy X fast LEXF-3MH-70 Z bon...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Every once in a while I run into these wrecking balls by accident. Fishing up in 2-3’ of water throwing a jerkbait for trout and saw some small bait start skipping, so I cast a Flash Minnow right into the middle of them. Two twitches and the drag started screaming! Before I could even get to the re...

How can I get into i-cast? I'm not in the fishing trade, per say, though I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express... sorry couldn't resist. But seriously, I'd like to go. I do have a certification and side business as an archery instructor. Do you did I could get in claiming my interest is in bow-fishi...

Re: Good jerkbait that’s better than a 110 or pointer?
I'll also add that if you can't catch them on a 110 or pointer, I don't think switching to another bait will yield the results your looking for. Both are top notch and produce fish all year long at every lake I fish. This makes a lot of sense. Maybe your problem is depth control rather than bait se...
