Re: Origin TX-Left Hand
The standard Concept Handles are swept, so you should use a LH specific handle. We added LH specific handles to the Trick Shop in the fall of last year, only available in a few colors. Additionally I suggest you consider buying the CARBON handle option. This handle isn't swept so the one offered in ...

Re: Dialing in your Concept Z
Appreciate your words, your statement is exactly the thought process that is needed to accept that the Concept Z is showcasing an all new material bearing. The material has unique attributes that can be applied to many aspects of fishing very favorably. We will push this technology further in future...

Dialing in your Concept Z
Wanna get out there with the best of them, well the Concept Z will certainly allow you to do that provided you take the time to learn how to adjust it. Most anglers will try to adjust the Z just like they do a ball bearings reel...thats fine, but if you want to unleash added distance back the cast c...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?
Scoobie, The tolerances on a CZB are slightly(your talking .001mm here) looser than an inside race of a Ball bearing intentionally. We have done a lot of testing to find the performance and durability spot. In order to understand this, you must first understand this material. This is not at all like...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?
Keeping in mind the reel is designed for Inshore Saltwater and Freshwater Bass fishing. This reel was not intended for throwing 500+' in casting competitions.... So starting there with a 7-7.5' rod and a bait in a reasonable range of 1/2-1oz. If you would normally fish our Concept Series set on 2-3 ...

Re: 13 fishing CZB Bearing
They will be available soon, the material is very difficult to manufacture....so we are working around the clock just to keep up with CZB/s for reel production. In a few weeks, when we get a surplus we will drop them in packaging and distribute. Best guess is late February early March when they roll...

Re: Chicagoland Fishing Show
I have checked with our sales team about the Chicagoland show. Cabela's will be attending with a booth. It is unknown if they will have any Concept Z's at the show for sale. Sales have been off the charts for Z. Worst Case, you would be able to order one in their booth from Cabelas.com. Matt 13 Fish...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?
Seems everyone has a youtube channel these days.... you might be surprised on how few of these guys are actually on our staff. Either way we don't influence their reviews and opinions. If you listened and saw in our marketing videos the unscripted and candid reactions...these were genuine. The dista...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?
So....basically summarizing everything on this thread. The Concept Z has proven its point and philosophy. We have developed a new one-piece bearing technology that casts equal to or better than the reels in its class. It will do exactly what it is intended to do, perform day after day without the pe...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?
Dear Scooby, Give it a little time...a few casts in the parking lot won't show you what this reel can do. I appreciate all the feedback, but i don't think its fair to judge a reel so quickly. Your post was pretty harsh considering a little play in your handle knob. Thats something that could easily ...

Re: Concept Z Spool Change
I’ve read a lot lately about how you guys at 13 have spent a lot of time trying to find the right sweet spot as far as spool depth on the Concept Z. My question is, if I were to change out the spool with a regular Concept spool, but put the Concept Z bearing on the new spool, would I just be defeat...

Re: 13 fishing CZB Bearing
you guys are so caught up in casting distance your missing all the other great attributes of the CZB. We aren't claiming this is the longest casting reel in the world....but man does it cast, and effortlessly too. The statement we are making is that we are all knuckleheads for thinking ball bearings...

Re: 13 Fishing Concept Z
A lighter spool doesn't always cast further. In fact, the statement I will make is that typically a lighter spool will cast lighter baits better. Agree, a lighter spool doesn't help with distance casting, but what it does help with is ease of startup which helps cast lighter baits easier and cast b...
