Re: Please tell me a lefty Curado I for cranking is coming

Not sure about the Curado "G" series, but the Curado "E" series did not have a 5:xxx in a left handed model. I believe the last one was the Curado DPV.

Re: 13 Fishing trick shop reels.

it's amazing they are even considering left handed reels...

after all, there are only a handful of anglers who use left handed reels...certainly not enough anglers to consider their needs....

Re: Nrx spinning rod help

if your near any "true" heavy cover, with big bass, you may want to look into the NRX 804 XMR spinning rod.

it gives you the backbone, if required, to haul a big bass out of heavy cover.

Re: Where do you spend the money?

for me it's rods. I have a large number of curado's, with only 2 calais and 2 calcutta's. rods wise, when 'bass' fishing, just about every rod I own is an NRX. i've used some high end reels, and find they are just a pain in the butt..... its true. once you use an NRX, all other rods seem like a spon...

Re: No more Lifetime Warranty- Shimano Rods

i like your two pictured rods cause they are cork, and not split grip.

spooky, your feeling of the guides feeling like paper clips is the same feeling I have about eva grips...i feel like i'm holding a bike inner tube.

Re: No more Lifetime Warranty- Shimano Rods

ok bantam.

i have purchased g loomis rods directly from that Canadian factory.

built in that factory.

you are saying they weren't g loomis rods?

or are you saying there were two g loomis companies, one Canada and one USA?

either option doesn't make much sense.

Re: No more Lifetime Warranty- Shimano Rods

well, I do know the G Loomis facility that was located in Mount Hope Ontario is shut down....Lorne Green used to run that shop, making some of the best quality Loomis rods to date.

But, glad to hear they are still being made in North America.

Re: Edge Rods - Is this legit?

we have a few fella's here on Lake Ontario that use rods with those guides with WIRE LINE!

(and the 7 strand wire line doesn't muck up the guides).

well, I'm in Ontario Canada. ;)

But I'D love to take that challenge....wonder if the wife would understand.

"hun, heading out to Georgia to take on the "pepsi popper" challenge".

I'll win regardless of the outcome. :D

Do PM me with your sandpaper advice

Find an original Zell Rowland Pop-R, like this one, and I'll confidently put it up against any top water bait on the planet.

my hand is larger than 1". that is the length of the cork butt caps. VERY uncomfortable on a split grip.
