Re: Favorite Or Greatest Bass Fisherman Of All Time

Best KVD for now.... Favorite: Shaw Grigsby, he just seems to truly enjoy and have more fun fishing than anyone else as well as being great. . Agree, he is just a super nice guy. I met him a few years ago and although he was at a show, he took time to talk with me and answer my questions pretty thor...

Re: Any Pixy Enthusiast left?

I have 2, one with all the upgrades I could possibly have done, the other with the line guide, drag and bearing upgrades. So total investment in the 2 reels is well over a grand. My Pixzilla will be the last reel to ever leave my collection.

Re: Single Finest JDM Reel?

What a hard question, It's a toss up for me. I love my Diawa Pixies. I also have an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 2600 Elite JDM only reel that's pretty special.

These look pretty slick. http://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=70_1849_1850&products_id=887 you tube demos as well. Your link opened to baby Brush Hogs, which are a pretty good lure, but I assume you mean to link the bait sack? http://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=produc...

Re: CoverLure products

Sure looks like they are no longer in business. Easy enough to make your own though with some duct tape and stick on velcro strips. Let me know if you want me to post some instruction. If you don't want to do that, there are other options. Eye Surrender Bait Wraps http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Eye_...

Re: Need some help with reel values: Daiwa, Shimano

Do an advanced search on EBAY for completed Items. then set a price based on what they sold for. General guess is each on your list sold anywhere from 75-110 bucks except the Daiwa Emblem X 3000iA Which is more in the $30-50 range.

Re: Chatterbait trailer selection

I have been throwing chatterbait type lures for years and my best results have come off using a half or full culprit original 7.5 inch worm in what ever color is best for the water. Tomato, June bug and Motor Oil have all worked well. My second favorite is Kalin's 5 inch Lunker Grub in Cotton Candy...

Re: 2017: Favorite Technique to Catch Bass

I voted other since lipless baits were not an option. I'm pretty much addicted to a trap bite, have confidence to throw it all day long, as long as the weather is right. If there Is a little chop on the water and the fish are shallow, it's hard for me to put down. I would have voted Lipless Cranks ...

Re: St. Croix joins the long rod bandwagon

That's great news, though I wished they would have introduced these in some of the lesser priced models so I could try it out before the big investment. I guess their Wild River Rods are these and longer. I wonder if which of these are the baitcasting models. I assume it's the six and not the two. "...

Re: Rod sensitivity subjective?

A guy on you tube set up a vibration sensitivity test on fishing rods.

Personally I think the guide material, fishing line, balance and my general "feel" for it on any given day are just as important if not more so than rod blank sensitivity.

Just because I haven't seen it listed yet, I am going to add the Abu Garcia 4600C, a surprisingly amazing casting reel.

Re: need help picking sunglasses

I am a huge fan of the Wiley X Jake polarized emerald mirror amber lenses, they fit my big head well, have good clear lenses, are high impact Shatterproof Seleniteā„¢ Polycarbonate Lenses So if you ever get a lure to the head, it won't shatter then sunglasses. Unfortunately it looks like they stopped ...
