Re: A Few New Toys!

Thanks all! Already had a little experience with the Alphas SV. Put one of the orange SV spools in this custom Alphas. Paired with a DX 703. :D

Re: A Few New Toys!

Excellent choices. I love my Alphas SV to death. I recommend 4 bearings in the knobs and one for the worm drive. I kid you not, it makes it feel like a completely different reel on the retrieve. Oh man, I just ordered some reel parts from the Tackletrap and didn't think of these. May need to get an...

A Few New Toys!

Working on overhauling my arsenal. Decided to add a few JDM reels. These were matched with rods that look good on them! Got the DC and Cumara spooled up and ready to roll tommorow. The others will see action soon. Bought these after the glowing reviews on here! Bought the TDZ 100m used but the Alpha...

The EMTF makes a good swimjig rod among other things.

Re: New jig rod

I have both of those two rods you listed. Just got the H3 though I have had the EMTF for a few years. The EMTF is more versatile and we'll balanced. The H3 is better suited for a pure jig rod. Both rods are quite similar. The EMTF will always be $300 New with no sale price while Kistler will often d...

Re: Limited Edition Concepts

Purple haze for a Powell Endurance and Baron for the blue NRX. Nice looking reels with all the paint and bling work. For the price you would expect them to be perfect and not with imperfections. ](*,)

Re: 50E CORE 50

Core 50s in excellent to mint condition will go for $225 -275. I have seen them go for less if the seller is looking for a quick sale. Condition is big for price as is supply and demand. The E series reels are really holding their own in value right now.

Re: Backlashing my Zillions...

I would echo what has been said. In regards to casting into a stiff breeze I would also use more aerodynamic baits. Jigs or craw baits with lots of wind resistance will blow the reel up. The magforce z is actually one of the more tame breaking systems out there while still offering good distance. Tr...

Do you mean they don't require swept "dragstars"?

Re: How did my last cast go, you ask...?

Funny your posting of a Zillion back lashing. I love my Zillions but I tend to backlash them more than any other reel I've ever used. What's up with that!?! I am fairly certain the reel is a TDZ. The only reels I have to be prone to excessive backlashing are the Daiwa 103 series reels which are goo...

Handle options for a TDZ 100m?

Hi all, Recently acquired a TDZ 100m :D . I have a few questions about the reel handle and was hoping I could get some feedback. Note: I am not a reel tech guru as mechanical and fitment things don't come easy to me. THE PROBLEM: The reel came with the BBS handle and knobs. I really don't care for t...
