Curado 300/301D vs. 300/301E
What are the differences between these reels besides color? Any pros or cons comparing the two reels?

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Here's a pic of my buddy and I's jackpot winning 31.05lb sack of fish. One came on a jig, the rest came on a mixture of LC and Megabass jerkbaits. This was last weekend (1-26-12). http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2dc24b3127cceff1eaa2c902700000030O00KZOWjhs2Yg9vPgo/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/r...

Re: Recommend me a spoon
Save some money and buy some of the Sassy Casting Spoons from Janns Netcraft. Put your own rings and hook on them and you have a great fish catcher for half the cash of the retail packaged spoons.

For popping, I like the SK Spit N King. For more subtle presentation I like the old Ken Pop or LC G-Splash.

Re: Opinions on Curado 100D
I have a 101D on a custom Loomis MB843 for lighter T-rigs and such and really like it.
It is the oldest reel I have in my 1st string arsenal and I have no desire to retire it or relegate it to backup duty.
The reel is smooth, strong and pitches/casts really well.

That Antares is SWEET looking! Oh how I wish the exchange rate was back where it was a few years ago.

Re: Phenix K2s
Well, I can't afford any NRX's either! Maybe next year I will save up the extra $$ to try out a custom wrapped K2.froteur wrote:KlingerNOK wrote:Beautiful rod! Makes we want to try out a K2, but dang they're pricey!
no worse than an nrx (probably less).

Re: Vision Ito 110 v. Luck E Strike RCSTX
I've caught a ton of fish on both of them this winter and here's my thoughts- The RC STX has OK hooks but the rings are trash. They suspend great out of the box but when I replaced the rings they became a very slow sinker.I could not find a ring/hook combo that would allow them to suspend correctly,...

Re: What line for Jerkbaits ?
Up until last year I always threw jerkbaits on mono, then I started using fluoro and love it. The fact fluoro sinks helps the bait get down a little deeper and gives me better contact with my bait. I use XPS 12lb fluoro on one of my glass rods and am trying out some 12lb Sniper on another. The jerkb...

Re: Jerkbait/Topwater Line
Although I really like fluoro for jerkbaits, if you're going to also use it for topwaters I'd use Sufix Siege or Elite in 12lb. test.

The T3 Ballistic and the XT DC get my vote but I'm intrigued by your breakdown of the MGX.
