Depends what your doing, Bait? Lure? or Surf Plugs
9ft Tsunami Airwave Elite with a Daiwa BG would be an entry level surf set up. A step up would be a Penn Slammer III and ODM or Blackhole surf rod.

Re: Megabass Vision 110
Thanks for the feedback. I had a GG Deadly Black Shad a while ago, I don't remember ever fishing it. Maybe I should have before i sold it. I was hoping to get an M Shad in Jr to test. looks like they don't make one. The fish tend to prefer that bait size in the lakes I fish. I bought the pro blue as...

Megabass Vision 110
What Vision 110 would you consider having the most metallic silver flash? I don't have access to the full line in person, I'm thinking M Shad?

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?
I picked up a Tatual CT spool not SV, I have a Ray's Shallow on its way, it will be interesting to see how each casts. I was using 20# PPSS, Think I'm going to bump it up too 30# SSV2.

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?
I've been emailing everyone under the sun ... and yes Ray's Studio appears to keep closest to Daiwa specs ... Unfortunately they do not have a 34mm "SV" spool that fits the Coastal that I could find. Maybe their none SV spool will work with the original inductor. Anyone have one to borrow to test fi...

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?
I may end up gong after market to avoid the gap. The new blue coastal sv has the same frame as the tatula 100 and tatula elite. Any spool that will fit a Tatula CT, 2019 Tatula 100 or a Tatula Elite will fit that reel. The opening for the spool is 34 mm and daiwa typically undersizes the spools abou...

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?
Im on the hunt for a shallow spool for the coastal myself.
The New Coastal SV TWS 150 spool Has a Diameter: 33.8mm , Width 25.28mm, Shaft: 63.14mm
So bust out those calipers if you have a SV spool, could we get the model and measurements.

Do we have a Diawa Rep on here?
Is their a Diawa Rep on here to talk too? Have a question about my Certate 5000D. How much gear play if any do you expect or allow from the factory. My 3000 has zero gear play, You can feel slight gear play in the 5000. I hate to be so picky but these things aren't cheap.

Re: Baitcaster Braid Weight?
Any observations with SSV2 vs SS for baitcaster? I'm not seeing the difference on my spinners. Line dig, big fish, unfortunately not my problem, fish are rarely over 2# in my local lakes. Lighter line, tighter packing may be worth a try. My current practice is going to the local football field and r...

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?
At one time I was all about Shimano but Diawa impressed me years ago with the pluton. They are definitely the better bang for the buck at the moment so when i decided to upgrade gear all my freshwater spinners where replaced with various Diawa LTs. If i do the math the money i saved buying Diawa ove...

Baitcaster Braid Weight?
Benn using 20# SS braid on my Baitcaster. general purpose 6'6 medium heavy. I typically fish unweighted 5-6" Senkos and 3.75" flippin' hogs. occasional jerks, cranks.
Will i loose distance switching too 30# I'd like to cut back on the line dig which seems to be the cause of most of my back lashing.

Curado 100D Is it worth keeping
Its' been years since I've been on the forum. I've been upgrading gear this season. Are the new reels worth the upgrade .. I've been impressed with Diawa spinners are the Tatula casters worth the upgrade? I'm wondering if i should sell my CuradoD for the new stuff. Its in VeryGood-Excellent shape, I...
