Not everybody wants a longer handle, especially on a tiny reel.

I'll have a Metanium this weekend. Hopefully I can get an idea of how it compares to the E.
Give us a review and a comparison.

Re: Oiling SVS

How much oil are you using? I have a Metanium and after a few months of use it started the whirring sound on the tail end of the cast, just a couple of drops of the oil on the brake drum stopped it. Same with my Curado I. Maybe changing out the brake blocks to the spare ones might remedy this?

Re: No new Citica, seems odd to me.

Im glad that there is separation between the curado and citica. Now the price difference is actually worth it to upgrade to the curado.

Re: Revo Beast takes Best Freshwater Reel Icast 2014

The award is important and it shows that Abu Garcia has or have become a major player in the low profile reel department. Listen to the fisherman who use their products! Currently there are more pros using their products than any other manufacturer. And there are more fishermen using Zebco 33's tha...

Re: Don't be Fooled, Here's the Deal on Shimano's Exsence DC

New user here, great review. I've been fishing with this reel here in Sweden for about a month and it's replaced my 5500 Ambassadeur as my go-to trout fishing reel. I use only PE mode 1 and 2 depending on wind condition and I cast longer than my heavily tuned ABU. I've tried SP mode at night and it...

Re: Revo Beast takes Best Freshwater Reel Icast 2014

What did any of these reels have, Abu to Zillion (I know apples and oranges) that was new tech or design? The beast: Nothing zillion: no new tech, but a new combination of existing tech Conquest: First time on American shores officially, all of shimano's latest tech in a round reel Concept KP: Lots...

Re: Revo Beast takes Best Freshwater Reel Icast 2014

I think the conquest reel should have won this. Anyways, Shimano solved a problem that happens when you get your finger stuck in the levelwind. Watch the video at 1:27 where the Shimano Rep talks about this. Kudos to shimano. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/ICAST14.html?ccode=SHIMANO14A That's a pre...
