NRX Jerkbait Rod
So I'm contemplating my next rod purchase, specifically a jerkbait rod. While the leading contender is an off the shelf NRX 803c, I'm considering tackling a little project and trying to find a broken NRX 893 or 894 that has cracked between the split grips. I would be looking to have an overall lengt...

Re: Best NRX, Megabass or Evergreen Rod for Top Waters
I recently acquired an NRX 802s which I was using for unweighted senkos. Turned out it did a better job of top water poppers (was a little too light). Really liked the soft tip, then the way it would load without ripping the bait out of their mouth. What I didn't like was the feel of the spinning re...

Great guy to deal with! Rod was exactly as described, packaged very well. Hope to do more business with in the future.

My favorite X7 is the Extreme Mission. My least favorite which I just sold is the Bearing Down. x2 on not liking the stinger tip.

Re: What are the must buys from the Megabass X7 & C40 lines
As I'm looking to move up to the Evoluzion line from the X7 series, I've been told that the Elseil is one of the must haves, followed closely by the F5.1/2 Super Diablo II. Good luck in your search, the Elseil is becoming rare and used is non-existent.

I'm using my NRX 822SYR for spybaiting and drop shot. It's paired up with a Stella FD. Working well so far

Re: Megabass Themis Inquiry
The Themis does not have a stinger tip, but definitely is faster in action than the Expada. The tip is very soft for about the first 15 inches of the blank and then gets quickly into the backbone. The Expada is much more parabolic in its action, and it definitely feels to me like it has more backbo...

Re: Megabass Themis Inquiry
Thanks for the link. A couple of questions after reading that, when you mean he Themis has a soft tip, you're not talking about like a Stinger tip are you? And by a half power less than the 1.1/2, even though it's rated as an F2, is an odd assessment. Does the Expada feel like it has more backbone t...

Megabass Themis Inquiry
Does anyone here have an MB Evoluzion Themis? I'm looking for a top water rod that would have the same action as an NRX 802S. My hopes are that it has a tiny bit more backbone but with the same fast tip. Being an F2 I would suspect it might be a little lighter than the 802

Re: Which Spinning Megabass Rod for Weightless Worm Fishing
My first delve into high end rods was an NRX 852S which I plan to use for unweighted senkos. The weight and balance is excellent. I was then introduced to Megabass by the evil overlord who sold me the NRX, and proceeded to swap out every baitcasting rod to MB's X7 series, and still collecting. I hav...
