Re: tungsten putty
Not that brand, but yes I have some. I used it to weight some shad raps and other balsa baits. Seems to work well. It is moldable, and the brand I have says it wont harden if I remember right.

Re: NRX 843C vs. SBR 813C for spinnerbaits
I throw spinner baits on either my GLX843 or GLX783 ,depending on cover and distance to target. Love them both.

Re: use of sharpie markers on soft plastics
I have not used it on plastics, but use a Sharpie to blacken the first few feet of my bright colored braid. I have not seen a difference from the odor on the line.

I am a Shimano guy, but have a few Lews for back up and for friends to use. So if you took away all my Shimano stuff it would be Lews for me.

Loomis NRX894 with a Shimano core 100mg7 for jigs. My second would be my Loomis GLX845cbr with a brand new Shimano Chronarch mgl for crankbaits.

I have seen the Bog Baits in person and they look great. They also make some neat looking frogs. They are made in my home state,a couple hours from my home. They are always at the large fishing shows around here. I have not used them but have been tempted.

Re: glx 2016 mbr 782 or 783
I am about to buy the 783 for a 3/8 - 1/2 oz spinnerbait rod. I have been told by the guys at The Tackle Trap that it will be great for that weight range for close quarter spinnerbait work. I believe based on this info that a 2 power rod would be more in line with your topwater baits.

My new Scorpion 70 XG.
