Re: Crankbait; Steez M.Gun.T2 or Blitz? Flogger
I'm french ! You really have to consider your lures' weight. Small cranckbaits (up to 3/8, not deep diver) : Steez Lightning, excellent rod, lot of tip, smooth, but strong backbone (last 1/3 of the rod, butt side). Excellent for small jerkbaits and topwater (up to 3/8) and even light spinnerbaits (1...

Re: Crankbait; Steez M.Gun.T2 or Blitz? Flogger
Hello ! I have the Flogger, the Lightning, the MGC II and I used to have the Blitz (sold it). Flogger : fast action, texas rig, jig, spinnerbait, not very sensitive Blitz : 3/32-3/4 oz, regular, little topwater, little crank MGC II : very versatile, wire bait special but good for topwater, jerkbait/...

Re: Megabass Finesse Spool
Hi everybody ! :D I have 3 questions for the Megabass Finesse IS/Steez spool owners : - Does the spool (edge, shaft, fixed rotor...) look fragile to you ? - Can the spool ball bearing be removed with special tool (Hedgehog Pin remover...) or special pliers (Boca), and without risks of damage ? - How...

Hello !
Same problem here, but not after a rainy day and I can't solve the problem. Could anybody help us or tell me where to buy parts (pinion gear and drive gear I guess) ?

MHX P904-2 popping blank
Hello ! :) I'd like to have some information from you guys ! Hello ! :D I'm looking for a long blank (7' to 8'), to fish big brownies in France, with trebble hardbaits. I need a blank with quite a forgiving action (to avoid unhooking, something very common with trout) but not to soft to twitch my ba...

Re: If you could use only ONE brand of hardbait...
This a very good question ! Herre in France, modern lure fishing (with bait casters and catch and release) has just begun 10 years ago, only through the japanese brands, so we know them better than old classic american brands ! Though, recently we are more oriented to USDM, because we have und...

Re: 5-8in swimbait rod
Hello ! I have the Dobyns 795 ML for some months now and this is a great rod for what you want to use. I prefer the longer handle even for topwaters because it shortens the lenght between the reel and the tip, so it's easier to work the lure. The rod feels a bit overloaded with the 8' plastic Lunker...

Strip off a blank
Hello ! :D I've started to cut the reel seat, handle, winding check and guide thread on a spinning blank (8 feet, medium) that I want to rebuild casting, for trout fishing with crankbaits and minnows. The problem is that this blank is painted . I'd like to strip off this paint but I don't know what ...

Dobyns 795 ML / Daiwa Zillion 7'4 swimbait : sensitivity ?
Hello ! :D I'm looking for a rod to fish with 8 inches swimbaits, paddletails and soft shads. The line I will use is a Varivas braided line in 20 pounds : it's a light line but I need it because the purpose is to fish very deep (from 20 to 50 feet) in alpin lakes (pike fishing) and to avoi the wind ...
