Re: Shimano Poison Ultima Baitcasting 1610L-BFS
What's the absolute low end of this rod? I've gotten out with it twice for winter smallmouth throwing 8.47g and 8.78g total weight rigs and it feels right in the sweet spot. I'm curious how low you guys are going. I'd start throwing smaller stuff but in my two short outings they are all over baits w...

Re: Fishing Docks with Hard swim baits
I've fished this way around docks, mostly with a slow sink Deps 175. Works great when they're eating the big bait. Definitetly has the drawing power to pull the fish out from under a dock. Could throw a follow up bait like a senko or something if they don't hit the big bait. You can also skip big so...

Re: New Poison Glorious
Nice KP! It's interesting even some of the sub 7' rods are two piece. They also dropped names for these models as far as I can tell. Can anyone compare a '21 PG vs the previous generation of the same model? I was tempted to pick up the 1610m that popped up on here a little while back, I love my prev...

Re: Sling pack for wading?
I have a older Orvis guide sling in digi camo and a smaller Simms headwater sling. Love them both. I use the larger Orvis one for SW wading (all day trips) and I use the Simms headwater one for fly fishing and half day hikes. I have owned several styles and brands. Some have annoying straps, are un...

Sling pack for wading?
I'd like to retire my old Abu Garcia sling that I've used as it's falling apart. Best thing about it was I could throw it over my left shoulder and it has an attachment to carry a spare rod. New bag will have the same requirements. I started looking at other Abu bags and found this one. https://www....

Re: 2021 Shimano Reels
Welp, it might finally happen. I've wanted a Conquest since I first saw one as a high schooler that couldn't even dream of being able to afford it. Missed a few good deals on the previous 100HG here and on another forum over the past few years. Don't know if I'll be able to resist this time. Been a...

Re: Frogs and the JDM Difference vs Preference
Usually the difference is about $10  I'm interested in hearing about some jdm hollow body frogs. I've basically settled on a spro 65 but throw buzz frogs 90% of the time. Not the biggest fan of the spro either. I'm going to look at that Evergreen single hook frog Johnny A mentioned, I like the...

Re: BFS going mainstream? Curado BFS
It'd be nice if this move leads to Shimano bringing over more of their BFS rods to the U.S. I'm pretty sure the only rod they currently offer is the 172ml BFS Expride.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
Just noticed the NRX are not on TW website anymore. I guess they didn't even discount them. FWIW, I got an NRX 843c discounted from TW when they were discontinued. I had them price match from ALF and I don't believe TW ever dropped the advertised price for those discontinued NRX mbr rods. If you wa...

Anyone open up the 2020 Metanium and notice this?
Sorry no pics as I just put it back together. I realized there are two rubber o rings acting as seals that aren't on the parts list. One at the end of the worm gear, opposite side from where an idle gear attaches. Another one fits on the frame where the driveshaft attaches, I think, the last one jus...

Before you hack those Loomis rods to death and maybe you're unaware, you can send them in via the Xpeditor service. Pay $100 or so, and get a completely new rod. Also, why weren't you able to warranty the Adrena?
