I found one that I'd like to add to my next rod order from Haven....the 7'8"ML+ (1/8-5/8oz) 107.8g's.

Re: 7'6" Light Cranking Rod
The Phenix classic bfs in 7'4" would be worth a look.

Re: Jackall Revoltage
The 7'3"H Revoltage weighs the same as the 7'2" Ultima @ 120 grams. Pretty impressive. It is hard to understand the differences in the blanks of the Ultima/glorious/revoltage when they all claim 1100g/m40.

Re: Jackall Revoltage
They got rid of that badass lockdown nut though . A shame. Shimano/Jackal went backwards on the Ultima/Glorious and now Revoltage lockdown nuts. The nut is like the 'front fascia' of fishing rods IMO. Just cosmetic I realize, but if looks didn't matter, we'd all just fish Loomis rods.

Re: New US Market Poison Ultima
A few other blank design differences between the Glorious and the Ultima - Glorious has Hi Power X Ultima has Hi Power X Solid I'd imagine this has something to do with the way the carbon is wrapped, and how many layers are in different sections of the blank. Most likely the butt end for added stre...

Re: New US Market Poison Ultima
What are they retailing for in the US? I saw the announcement, but it didn’t have MSRP attached. I like my JDM 6’10” M (the 2022 model) quite a bit,, but feel that it’s so crisp (especially when compared with the typical Shimano taper) that it’s not as universal as aid hoped. Edit : Never mind, the...

Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?
I like jarring sensitivity, the kind that scares you when you swim your bait into a rock  Me too. Zander mentioned that several times he had a fish on, and the rod feedback was that 'something didn't feel right'. I used to get a lot of those kind of bites before I picked up my first Loomis IMX...

Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?
After reading the BMG review, I'll pass.... "Sensitivity: I feel as though everyone today is looking for electric sensitivity in their fishing rod. Especially if the rod in question is at or above a certain price threshold. At just under $500, the BMG likely meets that threshold for many and if that...

Re: Ned Rod choices - P5 / NRX+ / AGS
Phenix classic bfs rods are getting high praise from several folks...I'd check them out. They look a lot like the p5 imo.

Re: New Steez A II vs High End Shimano’s
I have several Steez including the A and AII and HLC and about 25 other Daiwa reels. My favorite use for Daiwas is for skipping baits with an SV spool. Despite trying really hard, and spending thousands of dollars on the Best Daiwa reels, the Metanium is my favorite reels for most baitcasting dutie...

I've run 8lb Sniper on my medium jerkbait spinning rod for many years. It does great in the open water I usually fish every prespawn.

Re: P5 Kasumi Six Eleven for small cranks
I throw all kinds of 3/16-5/16oz cranks...black label peanut/hickster, buck creek money maker/dinky donker, frittside 5jr, ect. Running some 6lb Pline CXX (.009") and 6lb Trilene XL 'armor coat' (.010") lines. I'm not throwing anything that would require a bfs reel, and have use tatulas (80/103sv), ...

Re: P5 Kasumi Six Eleven for small cranks
I have a pair of 6-11's...love them. I throw a lot of small cranks, and will be adding the imx-pro 841 cbr next.
