Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Never thought I would like a rosy silver reel on a dark blank rod with an airbrushed fake wood reel seat of all things but here we are and I like it. Somehow the contrasting colors but warm tones work. https://i.ibb.co/c3mc3Kn/20211202-224810.jpg https://i.ibb.co/xGN6mQ1/20211202-224800.jpg Looks g...

My recollection is that was likely both at the same session.

Re: Braid and AGS
I only use braid with a leader, primarily fluoro and in a few cases mono. My two Steez SVF (EVA grips) AGS 7'6" rods have been used with braid from January 2021 until June and the AGS guides look the same as when the rod was purchased. The Steez Compile X AGS 7'6" has been using braid since June and...

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
No, the 7-1 ML was what I was referring to. They both can do drop shot though. Was only asking because you said that you had two of the spinning rods: 7-6 ML/M and the 7-1 M. But you referenced the 7-1 ML, which would be a third rod, not the other two rods. So, a little confused :) I agree about th...

Did you mean "7-6 ML/M" in your "For dropshot 7-1 ML" statement?Thunderblack1984 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 4:51 amI have two of the spinners. The 7-6 ML/M and the 7'-1 M. ... For dropshot 7-1 ML. Versatility and also dropshot go with the 7-6. ...

Re: Ygk G-soul Upgrade vs Ss112
It appears to me that the YGK G-Soul Upgrade X-8 in the 14# is experiencing some wear in a similar fashion as Fireline. I don't fish that often so most of the line rub is either from the line guides and reel spool or just floating debris in the water. It worked wonderful during the spring time for ...

Re: must have megabass rods?
My current favorite MB rod is the Javelin. So much so that I could not resist and bought two more since the prices were so good :D A few more "multiples": F8-78DG Super Destruction 78XX; one to fish and one rod "shelf queen" F4.5-610XDTI Elseil: one to fish and one rod "shelf queen" F7-69DG Mephisto...

Re: Smoothest gear grease.
Some of you guys have gone down a rabbit hole with this stuff. Is there a law of diminishing returns on the grease and oil? How much better is some of this stuff than ZPI grease and HH oil? I clean my reels during the winter and apply new grease and oil. They seem to stay smooth and functional at t...

Re: Ygk G-soul Upgrade vs Ss112
You guys are fishing 25# and 30# ygk upgrade on baitcasters and no issues? That is really small diameter braided line for baitcasters.Very impressive The 30 lb. G-Soul Upgrade is too thin and soft to be fished around rocks, as expected. It is also just too soft and thin to be used on a baitcaster a...

What, no love for Super Lube synthetic anymore ? That & TSI 321 oil been doing right by me for years now. I think that I have a couple of tubes of Super Lube and a few ounces of TS 321 that you can have  What don't you like about the TSI 321...? I've been really happy with it. TS 321 is a good...

Re: Megabass Valkyrie Rods
The 7'1"H Valkyrie is one of my favorite rods, just slightly behind the Javelin.
The Valkyrie is used for jigs, MB Dark Sleepers, larger paddletails, and moderate sized swimbaits.
