With F-0 Super Conque oil, I didn't have great success cleaning it with acetone. It was weird in that once the bearing was put into acetone, the oil 'flaked' off instead of simply dispersing. I've used a plastic ruler in the past.
Just wedge it behind the VBS, and just lightly leverage it off, working from different angles as you go until it comes off/you get enough grip on it to pull it off with your fingers.
