Re: How G.Loomis Rods are Made - A Behind the Scenes Look
Great writeup, really interesting stuff. I think its awesome that Shimano decided to keep G.Loomis here in the USA, I'm all for buying the best products out there wherever the origin is but I'm even more for buying the best products made right here in the US. Really found it cool how each stage of t...

Re: Core Info.
I have both the JDM Met and the Core, and I'd buy the Core again over the Met. Not only does it look cooler but I fish it harder knowing that I can get the reel serviced in the span of a few days.

Re: Anybody got the Core yet?
Raul, I know exatcly what your talking about. No, it feels more solid in teh hand, and doesn't have that hollow feeling as much. I noticed it when cranking hard on braid, but overall it feels more solid, more reinforced, and more refined. I plan on buying another so I can leave one with powerpro on ...

Re: Anybody got the Core yet?
I have a Core and the Metanium, and I agree this time the domestic looks more exciting than the JDM. I got the standard as I don't like the Instagage. So far the reel has been great, its as good as the TD-Z, but still under the Steez in terms of refinement. It does cast better than the Chronarch Mg.

Re: ABU Revo STX
I'm going to try this reel just because of that insane drag. This could be an excellent inshore reel as well.

That was a very cool video! Those fish are really wild the way they get right out of the water.

Re: Has Daiwa Ever Recieved a Bad Review Here?
Just a simple reel that's as good (in your opinion) as the Chronarch B. Do they make that? Everyone knows I'm a shimano guy, and I must say that I still prefer the old Chronarch's over the heavier new B's. Sometimes change is good and sometimes its not. I have also tried a Sol and didn't like it, p...

Re: Thanks to Jeremy Sweet from Shimano for the interview
Just want to chime in and say good job to both TT and Shimano. The reason I come to TT is for the great opinions on the tackle. Heck not only do I rarely disagree with the reviews, but TT has helped me make some great tackle choices, especially when it comes to reels and rods. That said, I really li...

Re: Which is better: Gloomis IMX or Kistler Helium LTA ?
I own a few of both rods and they are both exceptional. Its hard to beat a good ol Mag Bass IMX/GLX. Heliums are darn good too, but which is better is all about personal preference. I do think both of these are better than a Daiwa LT rod or Shiamno Crucial.
Re: Lockjaw
I think we need a review to explain how this thing functions. What do you say TT staff?
