The X7? its got the perfect do-it-all, multipurpose taper that I've used for anything from jigs and t-rigs, to chatter & spinnerbaits, even some crankbaits. I've been hard pressed to find a technique I've disliked with it

I'm looking to add a rod that can comfortably toss 3oz. Swimbaits (imakatsu husky hasuzzy mostly, with some gantarels and LC real bluegills thrown in for good measure). I have rods rated up to 3 1/4 oz and 4 oz, but both feel a little overloaded with the imakatsu on it. Any recommendations? I'm not ...

I need a baitcaster that I can use for jigs,plastics,and shallow cranks.. ponds and small lakes from shore.. What gear ratio,or IPT do you think would be best? Mostly concerned about the crankbaits.. fast ratio reel and cranks,,usually not a great combo,but I don`t know if its a big deal with squar...

Either a high 6 ratio, like 6.8:1, or 7:1. Any higher makes it more of an effort to slow down if needed

Chronos or Zodias seem to be the way to go at that price point. Haven't heard a ton about the Chronos, but the Zodias series seem to be winners
