Re: Flash Pointer
The regular Pointer 100 is a rip bait, very erratic with a side to side darting action. The Flash Pointer is a little more subtle, it has more of the darting action of the Pointer but the tail kick or wobble is tighter like the Flash Minnow. Basically it is Pointer with a tighter action and less si...

Flash Pointer
In 500 words or less compare or contrast the action of a Flash Pointer 100 with an original Pointer 100. Extra points if I can understand it.

Re: Lew's BB1 thumb screw question...
Pulls out? doesn't turn! Now I feel a little foolish, but better to ask than break it? Thanks

Lew's BB1 thumb screw question...
I just received a used BB1L and am having difficulties loosening the plastic thumb screw which holds the side plate on. My Revos have a metal thumb screw with a flat head slot. This BB1 thumb screw is plastic and has no slot. I'm looking for successful techniques loosening it. Thank you

Re: best daiwa for small flat sides/shad rap 5
If I was forced to use a bait casting reel for a #5 shad rap I would use my Pixy 68, however, I wouldn't expect it to perform better than any of my spinning reels.

Duo Realis 80 Minnow running depth
How deep does the Duo Realis 80sp minnow run? I'm looking for a jerkbait ~3 1/2" that suspends around 2'. Can't find LC Flashminnow 90mr anymore.

Re: Storing reel parts while doing maintenance
I clean my reels one at a time and don't take one apart unless I have time to finish cleaning and reassemble in one sitting.

Re: Vision 110 Jr. -- first use
"When jerked assertively the Vision will break its tight roll pattern and swing widely side to side. " ...this from a December 2005 review of the Vision 110 here at TackleTour. The above quote is representative of many on-line comments about the Vision 110 I've read and led me to expect more side-to...

Re: Vision 110 Jr. -- first use
6' 10" EliteTech Smallmouth series 1/8 - 5/8 recommended bait weight/ PX68L/ 15lb test braid/ 10lb test fluorocarbon leader tied direct to the split-ring... I don't think its the tackle as my LC Pointer 78s and Slender Pointer 97s have great action with this set-up. I tried various retrieves, but th...

Re: Vision 110 Jr. -- first use
Anyone care to share about the action they achieve with this bait? I'm getting a very nice "roll" when retrieved without jerks, but not much of a "walk the dog" action when lightly jerked... Changing to larger split rings helped get near neutral buoyancy in 50 degree water temp, but changing to a he...

Vision 110 Jr. -- first use
Because of the phenomenal following the Vision 110 has garnered (at least on the boards), I purchased a 110 Jr. to try. My frame of reference is a Pointer 78 or Slender Pointer 97 fishing for highly pressured lake smallmouth. I expected an easy casting, near perfectly suspending bait with a wide sid...
