Chronarch MGL New issue
Sent in my Chronarch MGL XG in to Shimano as it quickly became "geary". Took a month but just got it back and took it out today. They replaced the main and pinion gear and it feels great again. Not sure what was done incorrectly but now the anti reverse slips- I have never had a reel do this. Any id...

Re: metanium mgl and chronarch mgl gear interchangeability
Any solutions to this problem? My chronarch mgl is quite "geary" feeling as well. I love the way the reel fits in my hand but it has a very noticeable feeling and vibration. Even a distinct sound upon retrieval. Does not bother me much if it is the only reel i use that day but when i use another (t...

Re: Nasci?
Well the Nasci's arrived and one of them feels like it is full of cold butter. Not free spinning and feels like I am pulling in a 3 pound log upon retrieval. Back it goes.

Hair jig connection
Going to try a few weighted jigs this season after great success trout fishing last year on wolly buggers with a bit of weight on the line. I have found a few companies but looking for recommendations from folks that have experience with the product. Zigs jigs and Thomas are a couple that I have fou...

Re: Rod for calcutta conquest bfs?
I had the First Strike 6’10” rod with the same ratings. No where near as light as you are thinking it is. You can have them build you a one off from any NFC blank though. Wait...Edge will build you a rod using any of the NFC blanks??? :-k My gears are turning. Ya Edge will build you a rod in 4-6 mo...

Re: Sub 250.00 reel
Never tried a Zillion but own numerous tatula's, chronarch mgl and a bantam mgl. By far my favorite is the Tatula sv. While not quite as smooth as the bantam it casts effortlessly, easy clutch and truly a "set and forget" reel. My experience with the chronarch mgl was super smooth than became a lit...

Re: Wanting to customize Tat SV
Just be aware that the hedgehog and zpi purple is a shade different than daiwa purple on the tat already. If the two colors aren't right against one another it's not as noticeable but if side by side it is very noticeable. For that reason I just did the screws and levelwind cap to go along with the...

Re: Wanting to customize Tat SV
I was going to go pink which would have been pretty darn ugly but since it already has some purple I am going to go that route. Never thought I would spend a penny on making my gear look purty...........
