Re: High end rods

I agree with muskyhunter if there was a huge increase in performance over say an extreme or even a GLX I would would spend whatever on a rod ..............perhaps 1000.00 if there was a rod out there that could walk all over a NRX.............................But there isn't 8-)

Re: What's with all the $500 rods?

It was all I could do to put out for the Cumulus but that rod has just been insane !!!! I at least waited and got it on sale for $300 but I would put it up against any of the rods that have been mentioned so far. Couldn't bee happier that I spent that much on a rod.

Re: Wal-mart steps up in rod market

Amen fishdog !! The fishing department at WM is for the bored husband to pilfer through while MOM is buying Chinese products and groceries with much larger profit margins anyway. If you need to ask a WM employee a question about fishing products and/or techniques then you are truely a beginner anywa...

Re: Loomis Weibe Reel Seat..

Are the Loomis with the weibe seats a sought after rod?? I am currently using one (783 IMX) and the other an 844 IMX that I dont use. Just curious If i am not using it I might as well sell it to a good home.

Re: SPOON ROD

For vertical jigging I use an MBR783 IMX Loomis. I have somewhat gone to all 7' and longer rods for bass fishing so my 6'6' rods have been changed over to Jigging duty. I have a 783 GL3 that I am using also.

Re: New Curado... Shimano's second Curado mistake?

That 1 MM backplay on my curado's help me to work a Sammy and Zara Spook better. When the rod tip moves forward the backplay in the handle gives a very minute amount of line out which allows the Spook and Sammy to perform at their absolute maximum fish catching abilities. I have no idea what I am ta...

Re: Cumulus SMLCX71MH compared to Cumara CUC-72MH

I have both rods and i don't need to tell you that the cumulus is noticeably lighter. The Cumulus also has a shorter handle which may or may not bother you. The MH Cumara is gonna handle a little heavier duty applications. I Use mine for heavy jigs and light Carolina rigs and some T-rigs. I use the ...
