Not sure about a solvent, never needed one. Heating the screw head wuth a soldering iron may help a little. I guess I've been really lucky with these screws of death, a firm grip and decent screw driver has always been enough. So far.. lol

Tatsu is the best I've tried.. Sniper is pretty good too but a little stiffer and not as sensitive.

It's fantastic for frogs but can handle light punching, small swmbaits, heavy jigs & plastics too.

Definitely the TDZ. One of the best reels ever made and it still holds up against the latest n greatest.
