It's the same rod.. Only difference is the harrier name on the jdm rod.
There's a newer model too, slightly improved blank, same reel seat as the zillion rods.

Thats disappointing. They're just xxx rods with different tapers?

Guess we can agree on one thing..
Sensitivity is obviously very subjective.

Re: Best Bottom Contact Rod From Daiwa nonjdm
I loved the lt rods but they're no steez! Especially for bottom contact.. The steez rods ive fished are, at least in my hands, equivalent to the imx and almost as sensitive as the glx rods they replaced.. And they're much more comfortable and better looking. Tt is prolly the only place I've ever he...

Re: Best Bottom Contact Rod From Daiwa nonjdm
The best currently is prolly the steez has 71mhxf, haven't fished mine yet so I can't comment on sensitivity but it feels great in hand. I've been using a 7'1h comp x for a couple years as my primary jig rod and its served me well.

Re: Steex XT rods
I've got the 7'm, 7'mh and 7'2"mh.
Haven't handled the spinning rods yet..
Only had them out on a couple trips but I'm happy with them so far.
Light, sensitive, build quality is spot on. Love the reel seats too.
Which one are you looking to acquire?

X2.. This rod will do everything you listed. Wish I could find another at a decent price.ccass wrote:Steez Fle-X-Lite
I use the 7ft Medium for a wide variety of moving baits. Handles a 6lb smallmouth as well as not overpowering the little guys.

Re: Spool Bearing Remover Battle
The hedgehog tools strip too easily.. Went thru three in one year
Boca pliers are sloppily made and difficult to line up properly. I keep going back to the reelspeed pliers I bought years ago. The slp tool looks good but will prolly strip the threads on a tough pin like the hedgehogs have done.

Re: wading reel
I've been using an old school daiwa ss700 for a bunch of years and it's held up great despite being dunked a lot.. If you're wanting something modern, maybe one of the mag sealed reels would fit the bill. Never tried one myself tho since that old beast gets the job done, I've seen no reason to upgra...

I use mine for frogs too.. They've held up well and can really bomb a frog out there.

Guess this explains how certain manufacturers mentioned on their forums show up as a bunch of asterisks.
