Re: Baitcasting reel - is 12 lbs/175 considered size 100 or

There are deep spools, there are shallow spools. Capacity isn't the same as reel size, though generally the larger the reel, the larger the capacity. Your inquiry on diameter is only relevant to line of choice. Since you ask specifically 12 vs 14, assuming the same line from the same manufacturer, i...

Re: Backlashing my Zillions...

OP states 25mph wind, in my book that means mag 8 into and mag 4 with, give or take because line choice is a also factor. In calm conditions I go as low as 3.5, yes I use the 'half' setting, with good copoly but tend to select 4.5 or 5 with braid. It's common misconception, for whatever reason, to b...

Re: JDM Chatterbait

You cats might consider giving the local US retailer Chad's Megabass Warehouse some love. It's been some time, but I've purchased from Chad before. It's a smaller online destination, but if it isn't MB then he doesn't do it. I suspect he'll help find pretty much whatever MB product you might be afte...

About 3 or 4 days once shipped. Usually.

Although a proper reel is in order...not sure a Shimano reel is compatible with an NFC blank and MB components. ;)

Re: 4 inches off the back please...

You state rod, as in already built, so you simply plan to reduce handle length? If so, it should have little impact. Shortening a blank to be built proportionately would be an entirely different story.

Re: Dobyns Rods Cranks It Up with a Search For One Candidate

I read the review twice, quick like, came across as plain English to me. Numbers are what they are. Truth is I also have reservation in hard numbers with respect to finite detail they represent. The results can be harsh. They can be misleading. However, they do lend credence, they do matter, though ...

Hi all, Would an Evergreen Opus 1 and 3.5lb Sunline BMS line be over kill for Pan Fish ? I was thinking of pairing with a Megabass Kirisame Spinning Rod F1-62XKS. Regards Matthew I like your style, Matthew. You come across as free spirit and fearless. No offense, brother, but it juuuuuust might be ...

Re: Line Twist?

Untwist the line. When your day is done, clip rig and open spool behind the boat. Let out at fast idle, drag a couple hundred feet, stop boat, reel back in. Takes a minute but line lasts much longer and sets perfect every time. It's worth the effort. Use this opportunity to retrieve between your poi...

Re: Multi Technique All Purpose Rod & Reel

For a 'multi-purpose' line, I say yes. I'm sure others will feel the same. You'll know if it's time to try another option.
