G-man gets DQ'd

Just wondering what everyone's opinion was on Gerald Swindle getting DQ'd from the classic? Agree, disagree, kinda 50/50? I personally agree. I really think he should know better. Just becauce Randy Howell waved him around, doesn't mean he gave him the ok to hoss it on through. His close proximity t...

Re: Chick rods and reels?

I was lookin in the 2006 Rollie and Helen's muskie catalog and they have a round Abu called the Australian Pro, a limited run. It is basically a C4 with a 5.3:1 gear ratio, rather than the original 6.3:1. Models are 5600C4LE and 6500C4LE. It is a traditionally feminine light purple color........... ...

Re: G-loomis frog rod-opinions needed

Thanks for all the input Justin, exactly what I was lookin for, very nice. I'm kinda in the same boat with the Chronarch. I'm thinking it will end up on a spinnerbait rig. Now I just have to buy a new spinnerbait rod :D. But that's for another time, another post.

-Thanks, Shaun

Re: G-loomis frog rod-opinions needed

Thanks for the input all. I've heard nuthin' but good about the Jig and Toad rod. The magic eight ball says my first Kistler is coming soon!!! Frogpond, do you fish a Curado 200D on that Toad rod, and if so how does it balance out? Would like to try a Revo STX, but alas, no southpaw yet in the burne...

Re: G-loomis frog rod-opinions needed

Just wanted to bump this back to the first page. I am really interested in hearing more opinions of this rod, anything would help. I've always been a Loomis fan, but the very few things I have heard about this rod have not been that good. Wondering how it handles: casting lightweight frogs; enough b...

Re: tackle bag

Does anyone have an idea how much the V12 costs? I checked it out on the Falcon website, but did not locate the price. Also, I'm assuming it comes with none to a limited amount of organizer boxes?

Thanks, Shaun

Re: Buzzbaits

The last two seasons my top 3/8oz. producer has been the Leverage buzzbait by McGuinness in the Gold Trap pattern. This is the bait with the aircraft grade steel cable connecting the head to the hook; I have never lost a fish on this bait, and that's without a trailer hook. Two seasons ago I caught ...

Re: revo stx vs curado D

I have been shopping for a new froggin' rig, and have my reel narrowed down to the Curado 201DHSV and the Revo STX. My question has to do with which of these two can better handle those very lightly weighted, hollow frogs and rats? I have no concerns about either of these two handling heavier baits:...

Re: YOURS FAVOURITE MUSIC

I think Public Enemy fits the criteria of what your lookin' for Gun Doc. They're real hip-hop with an actual message, not superficial and unobtainable crap.

Re: LTA 7'0" ML for Walleye rigging, too whippy?

Wow, lots of great feedback all! Again I appreciate your time. Sounds to me like my first Kistler is gonna have to wait for a different time and technique, as I see another Croix in my future. \:D/ I live just a few hours from Park Falls and really love the opportunity to spread some dough around in...

Re: LTA 7'0" ML for Walleye rigging, too whippy?

Thanks all for the info, I appreciate your time. I have yet to hold a Kistler; finally got a Cabela's near the neighborhood. Only about a hour or so, but waitin' for the holidays to be over first. I am definitley considering a Croix as well, the 70MLF in either SCIV or V. Matt if you toss me your em...

LTA 7'0" ML for Walleye rigging, too whippy?

Hi all. First new topic post. This offseason I plan on purchasing a new walleye rig rod. Have a great interest in the spin version of the rod mentioned in title; the 1/16-1/2 oz. rating is very attractive. Will be using for lindy rigs, split shot rigs, and smaller spinner rigs. I have heard that the...
