Re: 4000 Spinning Reels for 7'6" L Rods
I have a Loomis IMX-PRO 901SJR(7'6" L/F) spinning Rod on the way. I've read and seen on video that some anglers are using 4000 size spinning reels on their 7'6" L/ML spinning rods for hair jigs, Ned's and small swimbaits. Some claim they get more distance with the larger spool and less line twist. ...

Re: NXR 873 vs 893
Thanks everyone for the great help. I really wanted to try my alphas sv 105 but how much line will it hold with 15 pound fluorocarbon? Can I get a spool for the alphas 105 with more line capacity? If not, I think I'm going to use the ss sv 103. Thanks again for all the advice! SV105 actual measurem...

Re: NXR 873 vs 893
Thanks for the input everyone. I thought most would say 893. Since the water is almost hard here I'm going to look for a deal on an 893. What reel out of these 4 would best balance the rod? Chronarch 50mg, Alphas sv 105, ss sv 103 or a tatula sv ? Thanks The heaviest reel will balance the best. The...

Re: Any 2020 Shimano reel leaks.....
I think it would have to be? Since the frame is solid aluminum I am not sure where else they could put the dial aside from that one removable "sideplate" piece of the frame. I think so too. They could make some sort of cutout in the frame but then the dial would have to stay in while the DC unit ca...

He is allowed his opinion. It would be quite easy to find out for oneself if it matters. I dont use LC on FC cause I dont feel its needed. I use 16# Sniper.

Re: Underrated Over Performer, the Jackall Rhythm Wave
Not a favorite of mine Dark Sleeper, Hazedong and Keitechs produce way better but willing to still give them a chance here and there. Bought smaller 2.8" hoping for crappie bite. I didnt see mentioned the unique smell the RW has thats most notable to me.

Re: 2019 Z Bone vs. Conquest
HA fanboys at BBC went Ape$heet cause I ragged on the quality of the H3. My rather new (april this year) lightly used rod has the cork pitting already more than rods that are 4-5+ years old with way more use, I dont use sealer on any of them. This on top of the other subpar craftsmanship issues.

Re: Alphas sv105
I have an alphas sv105 and I just can't seem to get it to cast well . I always read about how good they are which is why I bought one from Japan (used but looks basically new). I have read about the inductor sticking in some of them and some people changing the spring to a heavier spring so maybe t...

Maybe i should start throwing em I throw them in 20fow and will get bit on the fall quite often. If it makes it to the bottom Ill hop it at times or sl...

Re: MB Dark Sleeper
I have been using the 1/2oz size for over a month now and overall its been a very good lure. Yeah the eyes fell off pretty much on the first use and the hook needed sharpening but a fish attractor it is. Durability on the body is excellent as well its getting some tears now that I fixed with mend-it...
