Re: Check Practicality at the Door : Evergreen's Leopard
The review is true, the rod is not "practical," but at least the hook keeper can be.

Re: Check Practicality at the Door : Evergreen's Leopard
I would be on the opposite side. I want my crankbait rods to have hook keepers. I do too, just not one that will eventually lead to cracked epoxy. Yup. I like the Fujis as I can get the bait to stand out and not hit the blank as well. Reduces blank damage. http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php...

This bait doesn't work at all. Don't buy it.

Chrome Blue with Blood.
Love these baits, you can always find deals on them as well.

Re: Dobyns Rods Cranks It Up with a Search For One Candidate
I have been fishing this rod for about a year now.
After trying multiple reels on it, I like my Z on it, and use it for small a rigs. Definitely a versatile rod, and a balanced setup.
I 'd say it's weight ratings are pretty spot on as well, which is stated in this review.

All I can say is that I have decided to not buy one. Can't justify the price difference vs the Tatula.

Re: The Search for One: St. Croix Speaks in Xtremes
I have this exact rod and must say its one of my favorite rods in my boat. It also competes with some NRX, new GLX and MB X4 rods. I have zero issues with the rod build except yes StCroix could of done a better job cutting down the threads on the reel seat. Sensitivity wise in my hands better than ...

Re: The Search for One: St. Croix Speaks in Xtremes
I am a st. croix fan and i think the blanks they make are great. If you dont like the handle then go custom. I think many companies are thinking outstide the box. People are going to resist change but I must say the eva foam grips on my gen one cumara are great and I was a little shy at first but, ...
